We spotted 5-6 huge and gorgeous waterfalls, and visited Gorsam Stupa, and Devi Tara’s statue. Road to Zemithang is covered with dense forest and various unknown birds and species can be spotted on the way.
Gorsam Stupa, Zemithang

Gursam Stupa

One of the biggest stupas in India. It is the birthplace of 6th Dalai Lama. It is the only place in India where a Dalai Lama was reincarnated.
Sre Jay Jaymag (ch**) Monastery
A newly built yet colourful monastery. It is worth a visit.
Khin Mey Gonpa
It is less popular, yet it is the best (In terms of colors and beauty of the inner Gompa) of all. It is near to Bomdir village and approximately ten Kms away from Tawang. Instead of Budhdha, they assume reincarnation of Guru. Murals covers all the walls of the monastery. These Murals are exotic pieces of work.

Khin Mey Murals

Next day, we took a small walk to Chuck Sum Bridge, which is near to Kitpi village.
Chuck Sum Bridge

Chuck Sum Bridge

An Iron bridge built by Chinese army to cross the river during 1962 Sino Indian war. This hanging bridge still exists and it is still in the working condition. Though you would not love to step on the bridge, but some of our brave friends were courageous enough to step on it and took some photographs from the middle of the bridge. It is generally not visited by travelers, but for explorers it would be a nice walk in the middle of the forest looking for various species of birds which are unseen anywhere except Arunachal.
This was the ultimatum day, the most awaited day, of our trip. We got the permits for Bumla and Shangester Lake. Both of these places were the most talked place, and these places were really worth the hype.
Bum la

On the way to Bum la

Bumla is pass connecting two mountains. We could not really reach to Bumla. But the road journey to Bumla was beautiful. Fresh snow was all around, and it was magical to drive through snow laden mountains. It would be difficult to explain the moments and excitement in words, experiencing those moments is must. On the last check post, we were informed to halt our journey as it has been difficult, even for Army vehicle, to cross the certain point due to heavy snow fall. But Bumla would not have been more beautiful than the places we crossed during our journey to Bum la.
Shangester Lake
This lake is also known as Madhuri Lake, because this lake was featured in Koyla Hindi movie. It is 25 KMs far from Bum la. The Lake is mystical and enchanting. As soon as you eye on the lake, you will be hypnotized with the magnetic beauty of the lake. You lose your worldly associations and reaching to the lake becomes the ultimate goal of the life. This lake built due to land slide, and it is most gorgeous, exquisite, and charming gift of the nature to Tawang.
Why do we say that Lake is gorgeous?

Various falls were merging in the lake

Various streams were exiting from it.

It was surrounded with enormously large mountains.

Lot of life less trees were erected in the lake.

There is footpath, built by army, around the lake to increase your magical moments.

Lake was surrounded with trees.

Lot of birds were playing with lake water.

In addition to this, now Army takes care of this lake and it has set up a canteen where army personnel serve high quality food at low-cost, and in addition Army has set up a recovery room to help people in emergency situations.
Taktsang Monastery
Taktsang means tiger’s cave. This place is 5-6 KMs far from Shangster Lake. Though we did not get chance to go inside the Gompa, yet its location is beautiful. It is on a cliff edge and it gives the superb view of the mountains enclosing it.
Next day we returned to the civilized world where civilization has killed the beauty of forests and established the kingdom of concrete.
We will come back with more information about the restaurant we tried and contact information and miscellaneous yet important information for your travel.
