\nShimla<\/strong> (Himachal Pradesh)<\/strong>: The former summer capital of the British in India, and the present capital of Himachal Pradesh, Shimla has been blessed with all the natural bounties which one can think of. It has got a scenic location, it is surrounded by green hills with snow capped peaks. The spectacular cool hills accompanied by the structures made during the colonial era creates an aura which is very different from other hill. In winters Shimla is main ADDA for people who wants to enjoy snow falls.

\nLansdowne<\/strong> (Uttarakhand)<\/strong>:\u00a0Lansdowne is a small hill-station in Pauri-Garhwal District of the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand. The world famous tourist destination is known for its Delwara Jain temples and natural beauty world over, situated amidst lush green forested hills on the highest peak in the Aravali range is also the summer capital for the Indian state of Rajasthan, home to lakes, waterfalls and green forests, the hill retreat, has a very cool and soothing climate.
\nGwalior – Jhansi (<\/strong>Madhya Pradesh)<\/strong>:\u00a0Famous for its medieval hilltop fort, and described by Mughal emperor Babur as ‘the pearl amongst fortresses in India’. The city also houses the elaborate Jai Vilas Palace, the historic seat of the Scindias, one of the country\u2019s most revered families. \n\"gwalior_medium\"<\/a>Mathura – Vrindavan (<\/strong>Uttar Pradesh)<\/strong>: Famed for being the birthplace of the much-loved Hindu god Krishna, Mathura is one of Hinduism\u2019s seven sacred cities and attracts floods of pilgrims. The town is dotted with temples from various ages and the stretch of the sacred Yamuna River which flows past here is lined with 25 ghats, best seen at dawn, when many people take their holy dip, and just after sunset, when hundreds of candles are sent floating out onto the river during the evening aarti ceremony.
\nThe village of Vrindavan is where the young Krishna is said to have grown up. Pilgrims flock here from all over India and world. Dozens of temples, old and modern, dot the area.
\nThough these places are bit far from Delhi, but beauty of these destinations in winter urged us to add these in the last. These are more than an overnight journey from Delhi, but these places are gem of winters.
\nJaisalmer (<\/strong>Rajasthan)<\/strong>: The fort of Jaisalmer is a breathtaking sight: a massive sandcastle rising from the sandy plains like a mirage from a bygone era. No place better evokes exotic camel-train trade routes and desert mystery. Ninety-nine bastions encircle the fort\u2019s still-inhabited twisting lanes. Despite the commercialism it\u2019s hard not to be enchanted by this desert citadel. Beneath the ramparts the narrow streets of the old city conceal magnificent havelis, all carved from the same golden-honey sandstone as the fort \u2013 hence Jaisalmer\u2019s designation as the Golden City.
\nApart from the fort, Camel Ride and Jeep safari in the sand dunes will thrill your nerves. Gadisar Lake and Jain Temple are another important facet of city.\"Jaisalmer_Amar_Sagar\"
\nJodhpur (<\/strong>Rajasthan)<\/strong>:\u00a0Mighty Mehrangarh, the muscular fort that towers over the Blue City of Jodhpur, is a magnificent spectacle and an architectural masterpiece. Around Mehrangarh\u2019s feet, the old city, a jumble of Brahmin-blue cubes, stretches out to the 10km-long, 16th-century city wall. The \u2018Blue City\u2019 really is blue! With Mehrangarh fort, Jodhpur’s Jaswant Thada, Clock Tower and Umaid Bhawan palace are another important places which gives character to the city and people. Near by place Osiyan is widely famous of it’s gigantic and architecturally beautiful Jain Temples.
