Maharashtra’s Own Valley of Flowers, Kaas Plateau.
Located in Satara district on a distance of 22kms from Satara city. The Kaas plateau is famous for it’s wild flowers which bloom during August-September. The entire journey from Satara to the Kaas plateau is beautiful. The best time to visit is after the 2 weeks when rainy season is over. This year, unfortunately rain has not blessed us, though the plateau is a must see place.

But I would suggest to travel by car and explore the beauty of western ghats.
Taking a bus may not be feasible but be responsible when you visit this place. Park you private vehicles at designated parking spaces. Do not touch or pluck the flowers. By plucking the flowers you are endangering the natural gift of the plateau. It is our responsibility to be protect the plateau.
