Srinagar → Srinagar

Srinagar - pickup - Shankaracharya Temple

On your arrival in Srinagar, you will be met by our representative and escorted to your hotel. After completing your check-in formalities freshen up and rest for sometime. Later We will visit & Shankaracharya Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva on Mount Suleiman.. In the evening enjoy refreshing shikara ride on the beautifully breathtaking Dal Lake and take in the beauty of Srinagar. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Srinagar → Pahalgam

Head to Pahalgam and Stay

After breakfast, check out from your hotel or houseboat in Srinagar. The distance between Srinagar and Pahalgam is approximately 90 km, taking about 3 hours by road, through saffron fields, apple orchards, and scenic countryside.

 

En Route Sightseeing:

  • Awantipora Ruins: Ancient 9th-century Hindu temple ruins built by King Awantivarman along the Jhelum River.
  • Pampore Saffron Fields: Kashmir’s famous saffron-growing belt (blooming season: October–November).
  • Apple Orchards & Walnut Farms: Enjoy a brief stop to taste or purchase local produce.

 

Upon arrival in Pahalgam—the Valley of Shepherds—check in to your hotel and relax amid the pine-clad mountains and the Lidder River’s soothing sound.

Pahalgam Sightseeings:

  • Betaab Valley: A lush green valley surrounded by snow peaks, named after the Bollywood film Betaab. (Entry ₹100–₹150 per person)
  • Aru Valley: A tranquil meadow about 12 km from town, ideal for photography, horseback rides, and picnics.
  • Chandanwari: Starting point of the Amarnath Yatra and a scenic snow point (accessible seasonally).
  • Baisaran Valley (Mini Switzerland): A breathtaking hilltop meadow offering panoramic views of the Lidder Valley and snow ranges.
  • Lidder River Point: Serene riverbank spot perfect for light adventure activities like rafting (seasonal).

 

Local Taxi Union Rule:
Private vehicles from Srinagar are not allowed to operate local sightseeing within Pahalgam.
Travelers must hire local union cabs from the Pahalgam taxi stand for Aru, Betaab, and Chandanwari circuits.

  • Exact Taxi Union Rates are already displayed on the board of the Taxi Union Stand based on the number of places and vehicle we need.
  • Bisaran Valley: Only reachable by pony ride or trek (approx. 5 km uphill). Pony Ride Cost vary ₹1200 – ₹5,000 per person (round trip; negotiable based on season and route).

Note: Sightseeing and pony rides in Pahalgam are subject to weather and time availability.

Tangmarg excursion(Visit Dhrung waterfall at own )- later drop to sonmarg

After early breakfast proceed to tanagmarg for your trip. visit at own from there to drung wtaerfall , later via noon start drive to sonmarg via srinagar full day excursion of Sonmarg which is one of the most beautiful drive from Srinagar. Sonamarg, also called Meadow of Gold is located at a height of 2690 meters. You may take a pony ride (at your own cost) to Thajiwas Glacier where snow remains round the year. , overnight stay at sonamarg

Sonamarg → Kargil

Sonamarg to Kargil

You can cover the remaining sightseeing if left from previous day. Later head to Kargil. While travelling to Kargil, we would cross Zozilla Pass zero point , zojila war memorial . After crossing the pass rest a bit at Drass Village which is highest inhabited place in asia. Later, we would enjoy the drass war memorial which is a memorial of martyrs of Kargil war. Finally we would reach to Kargil hotel for relaxation.

Kargil → Leh

Kargil to Leh via Mijee Goma - Scenic Journey with Cultural Highlights

Begin your exciting single-day journey from Kargil to Leh, a route renowned for its dramatic landscapes, ancient monasteries, and cultural richness. This expedition takes you through the heart of Ladakh, promising breathtaking views and spiritual encounters. 

The total distance from Kargil to Leh is approximately 210-230 km, and the driving time, without significant stops, would be around 6-8 hours. However, with the planned sightseeing, it will be a full day's adventure.

 

Morning: Departure from Kargil & Scenic Drive to Mijee Goma

After a hearty breakfast, check out from your hotel in Kargil. If there are any remaining sights in Kargil you wished to visit, please ensure they are completed before commencing your onward journey towards Leh.

Set out on the scenic Srinagar-Leh highway. Your first leg of the journey takes you towards Mijee Goma, which is nestled close to Mulbekh. This segment from Kargil to Mijee Goma is approximately 45 km and will take about 1.5 hours of driving.

 

En route, you will encounter the following attractions:

  • Maitri Phata (India Gate Kargil): A significant memorial commemorating the valor of Indian soldiers, located just outside Kargil.
  • Mijee Goma: A small village offering glimpses into local Ladakhi life and traditions. You'll pass through its serene landscapes.
  • Mulbekh Monastery & Giant Buddha Statue: A prominent site featuring a magnificent 9-meter-tall rock-carved Maitreya Buddha statue, dating back to the 7th or 8th century, symbolizing a blend of Buddhist and pre-Buddhist traditions.

 

After experiencing the spiritual serenity near Mijee Goma and Mulbekh, continue your majestic drive towards Leh. The remaining journey from Mijee Goma to Leh is approximately 180 km, which will take around 5-6 hours of driving, interspersed with numerous captivating stops.

 

En route, visit the following iconic spots:

  • Fotu La Pass: The highest point on the Kargil-Leh highway at an elevation of 4,108 meters (13,478 ft), offering panoramic views of the Zanskar range.
  • Lamayuru Monastery: One of Ladakh's oldest and largest monasteries, famous for its moon-like landscapes (often referred to as 'Moonland'), mystical caves, and rich history.
  • Magnetic Hill: Experience the optical illusion where vehicles appear to defy gravity and roll uphill when parked at a specific spot.
  • Gurudwara Pathar Sahib: A beautiful Gurudwara revered by both Sikhs and Buddhists, commemorating Guru Nanak Dev Ji's visit to the region.

Leh → Nubra Valley

Journey from Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La - Scenic Drive and Turtuk Exploration

Begin your exciting single-day journey from Leh to Nubra Valley, with an adventurous detour to Turtuk, a village close to the Line of Control.

 

Set out on a scenic drive towards Nubra Valley. The first leg of your journey takes you from Leh to Khardung La, which is approximately 39 km and typically takes around 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on road conditions and traffic.

En route, visit the following attraction:

  • Khardung La Pass – One of the world's highest motorable passes, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Himalayas. Take a short stop here for photos and to experience the high-altitude environment, but keep the stop brief due to thin air.

 

From Khardung La, continue your descent into Nubra Valley. The distance from Khardung La to Diskit (the main town in Nubra Valley) is approximately 88 km, and this stretch usually takes around 3 to 3.5 hours, navigating winding mountain roads.

Upon arrival in Nubra Valley, proceed directly towards Turtuk. The drive from Diskit/Hunder to Turtuk is roughly 80 km and can take about 2.5 to 3 hours, leading you through stunning landscapes and alongside the Shyok River.

 

Upon arrival in Turtuk, explore the following:

  • Turtuk Village – Discover this charming village, one of the northernmost villages in India, known for its unique culture, language (Balti), and lush apricot orchards.
  • Turtuk Monastery – Visit the small monastery offering insights into the local Buddhist traditions.
  • Local Houses and Fields – Stroll through the village to observe the traditional wooden houses and the villagers' way of life.

 

After exploring Turtuk, begin your drive back towards Diskit/Hunder for your overnight stay. This return journey from Turtuk to Diskit/Hunder will again take approximately 2.5 to 3 hours.

 

Later in the evening, after reaching Diskit/Hunder, explore the following (time permitting):

  • Diskit Monastery – Visit the largest and oldest Buddhist monastery in Nubra Valley, perched atop a hill, offering magnificent views of the valley and a 106-foot tall Buddha statue.
  • Hunder Sand Dunes – Experience the "Desert in the Sky" with its unique white sand dunes. If time allows before sunset, you might opt for a memorable double-humped camel ride (Bactrian camel).

  • Shyok River Valley: Follow the majestic Shyok River as it carves its way through the mountains, offering breathtaking panoramic views and a unique geological spectacle.
  • Agham Village: A small, picturesque village that provides a glimpse into local life and offers serene photo opportunities amidst the mountains.
  • Shyok Village: Another quaint settlement along the route, known for its strategic location and rustic charm.

  • If Normal route/Shyok Route is closed due to Snow Melting or Rain or Administrative reasons, in such a case INR 4000/- for SUV & 7000/- for Traveler would be Extra for Warila Route.

Pangong → Leh

Return from Pangong to Leh - Scenic Drive via Changla Pass with Monument Visits

After enjoying a beautiful sunrise and breakfast by Pangong Lake, complete any final moments at the lake before commencing your scenic return journey to Leh. Your drive begins from Pangong Tso, heading towards the majestic Changla Pass.

 

The journey from Pangong Lake to Changla Pass is approximately 90-100 km and will take around 3-4 hours, traversing through winding mountain roads and quaint Ladakhi villages.

 

Upon reaching Changla Pass, one of the highest motorable passes in the world at an elevation of 17,586 ft (5,360 m), take a short break. Here, you can enjoy a cup of tea at the army cafeteria and soak in the panoramic views of the surrounding Himalayan ranges.

 

From Changla Pass, the descent to Leh is approximately 55-65 km, taking around 2-2.5 hours. This segment of the drive is particularly rich in cultural and historical sites.

En route from Changla Pass to Leh, explore these iconic monasteries and palaces:

  • Chemrey Monastery: A 17th-century monastery belonging to the Drukpa order, known for its high statue of Padmasambhava and rare ancient scriptures.
  • Thiksey Monastery: An impressive monastery perched on a hill, resembling the Potala Palace of Lhasa. It houses a magnificent 15-meter high statue of Maitreya Buddha.

After a leisurely breakfast, you might opt for a final exploration of Leh's iconic landmarks (At an additional cost if vehicle required.) if time permits.

 

Depending on your flight schedule, you will then be transferred to Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport (IXL) for your onward journey, carrying with you cherished memories of Ladakh's pristine beauty and unique culture.

  • In the peak time, pickup/drops can be provided different vehicles (Including Ecco Vans) than mentioned in the package.
  • Vehicle shall stick to the itinerary strictly. If there is additional cost arises due to additional sights or detour due to natural, administrative and human reasons, it must be strictly borne by the client.
