Proceed for a full day of sightseeing covering Shimla city and Kufri, one of the region’s most popular hill attractions.
Sightseeing in Shimla:
- Jakhoo Temple – Ancient hilltop temple of Lord Hanuman; last 500–700 meters must be covered on foot or via local shared jeeps as tourist vehicles cannot reach the top.
- The Ridge – Shimla’s most iconic open space; completely no-vehicle zone and accessible only by walking.
- Mall Road – Famous shopping street with cafés and restaurants; tourist vehicles are strictly prohibited, walking required.
- Christ Church – Neo-Gothic landmark situated on The Ridge; accessible only on foot.
- Scandal Point – Popular viewpoint connecting The Ridge & Mall Road; walking access only.
- Lakkar Bazaar – Market area known for wooden handicrafts; vehicles are not allowed beyond a point, walking needed.
- Kali Bari Temple – Accessible by car close to the approach road, followed by a short walk to the temple.
- Kufri Viewpoint – Famous for Himalayan snow-capped range views; vehicles are not permitted until the top, and you must take local jeeps or walk depending on conditions.
- Kufri Fun World – Amusement and adventure park offering go-karting (seasonal), rides, and activities.
- Indira Tourist Park – Relaxing spot adjacent to the Himalayan zoo area.
- Himalayan Nature Park – Home to Himalayan fauna including snow leopards, wolves, and monals (entry ticket required).
🚐 Important Vehicle Instructions (Shimla & Kufri):
Tourist vehicles cannot enter Mall Road, The Ridge, or Scandal Point. Walking is mandatory. Expect considerable walking throughout the day due to administrative vehicle restrictions in Shimla & Kufri. The Lift (paid) near Mall Road can be used to avoid steep uphill walking.
Note: Any sightseeing will be visited only once during the entire travel even if it is mentioned multiple times in the itinerary. In addition, no alternative sights or compensation will be arranged for the same.

Travel to Manali from Shimla via Kullu
After breakfast, check out from your hotel in Shimla. Before departing, ensure that any remaining sightseeing in Shimla is completed as no sights will be revisited. Begin your journey towards Manali via the scenic Kullu Valley. The distance between Shimla and Manali is approximately 250 km, and it would take around 7 to 8 hours by road, depending on traffic and weather conditions.
Enroute Sightseeing (Kullu Region):
- Pandoh Dam Viewpoint – A scenic man-made reservoir along the Beas River.
- Hanogi Mata Temple – A revered hillside temple overlooking the valley.
- Kullu Shawl Factory – Explore traditional Kullu weaving and purchase authentic woollen products.
- Beas River Rafting Point (Optional) – Adventure lovers can enjoy river rafting at designated points near Kullu (time & weather permitting).
- Vaishno Devi Temple (Kullu) – Small sacred shrine located by the roadside.
After completing the enroute visits, continue your drive to Manali and check in to the hotel. The remainder of the day is free for leisure.
