Pick up from Srinagar Airport and Visit to Dal Lake

Upon your arrival at Srinagar Airport, you will be warmly greeted by our representative. After a smooth pick-up, you will be transferred to your accommodation in Srinagar. The rest of your day is dedicated to experiencing the serene beauty of Dal Lake.

 

After settling in, embark on a delightful Shikara ride on Dal Lake:

  • Dal Lake: Known as the 'Jewel in the crown of Kashmir', Dal Lake offers breathtaking views of snow-capped mountains and vibrant houseboats. Enjoy a peaceful ride on a traditional Shikara, gliding through the calm waters.
  • Floating Gardens: Witness the unique floating gardens (locally known as 'Rad') where vegetables and flowers are cultivated on artificial islands.
  • Local Markets on Water: Observe the bustling life on the lake, including vendors selling local crafts, spices, and fresh produce from their boats.

 

As the day draws to a close, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Srinagar, filled with memories of the tranquil Dal Lake. Your single day concludes in Srinagar, with no further travel planned.

  • Mughal Gardens: Explore the trio of royal gardens built by Mughal emperors — Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh, and Chashme Shahi, known for terraced lawns, fountains, and floral beauty.

Sonamarg Excursion

After breakfast at your hotel/houseboat in Srinagar, proceed for a full-day excursion to Sonamarg, famously known as the “Meadow of Gold.” The distance between Srinagar and Sonamarg is approximately 100 km, and the drive takes around 2 ½ hours one way through beautiful countryside, Sindh Valley, and pine forests along the Sindh River.

 

Sonamarg Sightseeings:

  • Thajiwas Glacier: The most famous attraction of Sonamarg, located about 3 km from the main market. It is reachable only by pony ride or local union cab. Pony Ride Cost: ₹800 – ₹1,500 per person (round trip, negotiable - Cost vary quite a lot, so the figure suggested may not work during your visit.). Local Cab Cost: ₹1,500 – ₹2,000 per cab.
  • Zero Point (Baltal): Located near the Zojila Pass at 11,500 ft, offering snow even in summer months.
  • Access: Local union cab from Sonamarg taxi stand. Approx. Cost: ₹5,000 – ₹7,000 per cab (round trip).
  • Baltal Valley: Base point for the Amarnath Yatra; scenic stop en route to Zero Point.
  • Sindh River Viewpoint: Perfect spot for photography or light refreshment breaks.

 

Local Taxi Union Rule:
Taxi vehicles from Srinagar cannot go beyond Sonamarg main parking. For visiting Thajiwas Glacier, Zero Point, or Baltal, travellers must hire a local Sonamarg union cab available near the taxi stand.

Visit To Gulmarg, Gulmarg Sightseeing

Gulmarg Day Trip from Srinagar

Head to Pahalgam from Gulmarg & Later Enjoy Pahalgam Sightseeing

Your day begins in the picturesque hill station of Gulmarg. After a leisurely breakfast, it's time to check out from your hotel. Ensure you have completed any remaining desired sightseeing in Gulmarg before embarking on your journey.

Today, you will travel from Gulmarg to Pahalgam. This scenic drive covers approximately 140 km and is expected to take around 4 to 5 hours, depending on road conditions and stops.

Pahalgam Sightseeing and Return to Srinagar

Shop at Lal Chawk and Later Return to Hometown from Jannat

After breakfast, check out from your hotel or houseboat in Srinagar.
If any sightseeing points were missed earlier, they can be covered today based on your flight timing and available hours.

 

The Srinagar Airport (Sheikh-ul-Alam International Airport) is located about 12 km from the city centre, and the drive usually takes 30–40 minutes, depending on traffic and security checks.

 

Shopping Recommendations (Time Permitting):
Before heading to the airport, you may stop at Lal Chowk or nearby local markets for authentic Kashmiri products. Do not take recommendation from the drivers, Rather try to find the shops where Kashmiri's are purchasing for themselves. Try 2-3 shop before finalizing the product.

 

Dry Fruits: Almonds, walnuts, figs, and Kashmiri apricots known for premium quality.

Kesar (Saffron): World-famous Pampore saffron available at government-authorized stores. Must ensure that you are buying saffron instead fake products.

Handicrafts & Pashmina: Intricately woven carpets, shawls, papier-mâché items, and wooden carvings.

Local Spices & Tea: Kahwa mix, dried rose petals, and Kashmiri tea leaves.
