Katra - Vaishno Devi Darshan- pahalgam - srinagar - drop

Our vehicle will pick you up from Jammu Tawi Railway Station or Airport. Begin your scenic journey to Katra, nestled at the foothills of the Trikuta Mountains.

 

On arrival in Katra, check in to your hotel and relax for a few hours. Later in the day, depending on your preference, you may begin the climb to the sacred Vaishno Devi Temple or explore the local Katra market known for religious souvenirs and street food.

Early in the morning, begin your journey towards the sacred shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi, one of the most revered pilgrimage sites in India. The shrine is located approximately 13 km from Katra, and devotees can reach the temple by foot, pony, or helicopter service up to Sanjichhat.

 

En route, you may also visit:

• Ban Ganga – the sacred stream where devotees take a purifying dip before starting the trek
• Ardhkuwari Temple – a significant stop where Mata Vaishno Devi is believed to have meditated for nine months

 

Seek blessings at the holy cave of Mata Vaishno Devi, along with the sacred temples of Mata Mahakali, Mata Mahalakshmi, and Mata Saraswati.

 

After darshan, return to Katra the same evening.

Today after pickup we will head to Pahalgam after paying the heeds to Mata Vashno Devi Darshan. You can even choose the Heli Darshan if required. Pahalgam is approximately 220 Kms from Katra. It will take around 8 hours to reach the village. The vistas on the way will surely give you the sense of what you will witness. Pahalgam the village of Shephards is popular for it's amazing vistas. Today marks your return to Srinagar from Pahalgam, with a day dedicated to exploring the local charm of Srinagar.

 

Begin your day with a final leisurely breakfast in Pahalgam. Ensure you have completed any last-minute souvenir shopping or a brief stroll by the Lidder River. Check out from your hotel in Pahalgam.

Embark on your journey back to Srinagar. The distance between Pahalgam and Srinagar is approximately 90 km, and the drive typically takes around 2.5 to 3 hours.

 

As you travel towards Srinagar, enjoy the picturesque landscapes. While there are no major designated sightseeing stops directly en route that require a significant detour, the drive itself offers beautiful views of the Kashmiri countryside.

 

Upon arrival in Srinagar, check into your hotel. After settling in, the afternoon is dedicated to exploring the enchanting local sights of Srinagar:

• Shikara Ride on Dal Lake: Experience the serene beauty of Dal Lake aboard a traditional Shikara, gliding past floating gardens and local life.
• Mughal Gardens: Visit the stunning Mughal Gardens, including Shalimar Bagh (the garden of love) and Nishat Bagh (the garden of joy), known for their terraced lawns, cascading fountains, and vibrant flowerbeds.
