Katra - shivkhori excursion

After breakfast, proceed for an excursion to Shivkhori, a revered cave shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva, located around 85 km from Katra (approx. 3 hours drive one way). The journey offers a blend of spirituality and scenic beauty through lush hills and valleys.

En route, visit the following attractions:

  • Deva Mai Temple – a sacred temple dedicated to Goddess Durga
  • Baba Dhansar Temple – a picturesque temple complex surrounded by natural springs and waterfalls, believed to be the abode of Lord Shiva’s devotee, Baba Dhansar
  • Ransoo Village – the base point for the 3 km trek to Shivkhori, offering beautiful rural views and spiritual calm

Upon reaching Ransoo, undertake a 3 km trek (one way) to reach the Shivkhori Cave Temple. This natural cave, approximately 200 metres long, houses a self-manifested (Swayambhu) Lingam, believed to be unending and eternal, representing Lord Shiva’s infinite power.
