Pick up from Guwahati Airport, Head to Shillong
Upon your arrival at Guwahati Airport, our representative will warmly greet you. From there, embark on a scenic drive to Shillong, often referred to as the "Scotland of the East." The journey covers approximately 100 kilometers and takes around 3 to 3.5 hours, offering picturesque views of the changing landscapes as you ascend into the hills.
En route, you will visit the following captivating attractions:
- Umiam Lake (Barapani) – A serene and expansive artificial lake surrounded by lush green hills, perfect for a refreshing stop and some photographs.
After a beautiful drive, you will arrive in Shillong. Check in to your hotel and take some time to refresh.
Later in the day, explore some of Shillong's charming spots:
- Ward's Lake – A beautiful artificial lake with boating facilities, set amidst a botanical garden, ideal for a leisurely stroll.
- Police Bazaar – The bustling commercial hub of Shillong, perfect for experiencing local life, shopping for souvenirs, and enjoying street food.
The evening is at your leisure, allowing you to relax at your hotel or further explore the local market area.

Embark on an unforgettable single-day excursion from Shillong to Cherrapunji, renowned as one of the wettest places on Earth. Your adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Shillong, heading towards the majestic landscapes of Cherrapunji.
The scenic drive to Cherrapunji covers approximately 55 km and typically takes around 1.5 to 2 hours, offering breathtaking views of Meghalaya's undulating hills and pristine valleys.
En route, make a stop at the following viewpoint:
- Mawkdok Dympep Valley Viewpoint – Marvel at the panoramic vistas of the deep gorge and lush green valleys, a perfect photo opportunity to capture the beauty of Meghalaya.
Upon reaching Cherrapunji, immerse yourself in its natural wonders. Your sightseeing in Cherrapunji will include:
- Nohkalikai Falls – Witness India's tallest plunge waterfall, cascading dramatically amidst a stunning backdrop.
- Seven Sisters Falls (Nohsngithiang Falls) – Admire this magnificent cluster of seven distinct waterfalls gushing down limestone cliffs.

After breakfast, proceed to explore Shillong, the “Scotland of the East,” covering all major city attractions.
Sightseeing in Shillong:
- Laitlum Canyon - A breathtaking, deep gorge located about 25–30 km from Shillong. Known for its panoramic, 360-degree views, the site is a popular trekking, photography, and sunrise/sunset destination, often featuring dramatic mist and deep valleys.
- Ward’s Lake – A peaceful lake ideal for short walks and paddle boating.
- Lady Hydari Park – A Japanese-style park with gardens and a small zoo.
- Cathedral of Mary Help of Christians – A beautiful church known for its stained-glass interiors.
- Golflinks Golf Course – One of India’s most scenic natural golf courses.

Your drive from Shillong to Guwahati covers approximately 100 kilometers and typically takes around 3 to 4 hours, depending on traffic and stops. Please ensure all personal belongings are packed and ready for departure from your accommodation in Shillong.
En Route Sightseeing:
- Umiam Lake (Barapani Lake): Enjoy a brief stop at this sprawling man-made reservoir, offering picturesque views and a serene atmosphere, perfect for a quick photo opportunity. It’s a popular spot on the Shillong-Guwahati highway.
Upon arrival in Guwahati, depending on your flight schedule and available time before your airport drop, you may consider a brief visit to a key attraction.
Sightseeing in Guwahati (Time Permitting, Before Airport Drop):
- Kamakhya Temple: A highly revered Hindu pilgrimage site dedicated to the goddess Kamakhya, offering a glimpse into unique Tantric traditions. (Note: A visit may require significant time depending on crowds).
- Assam State Museum: For a quicker insight into the region's rich cultural heritage, explore its collection of sculptures, crafts, and tribal artifacts.
After your chosen activities or direct upon arrival, you will be comfortably transferred to Guwahati Airport for your onward journey, concluding your memorable trip. We wish you a pleasant flight back home.

- Flight Tickets/Train Ticket until unless not specified above.
- Camera Charges, and Tip at different sites and restaurants.
- Not mentioned specifically above. If something is committed and not mentioned in inclusion, please bring this in our notice ASAP.
- City Tour Tickets are included only in Andaman. In any other Indian states, it is not included.
- Additional Charges in case of Late Night (Post 8:00 PM) and Early Morning (Pre 6:00 AM) Picks up and Drops. (Not Informed during the itinerary discussions)
Land Package Cancellation Charges
- More than 30 Days before Travel - 15% of the total Package cost. Hotel /Cruise /Ferry cancellations/ retentions would be additional to the service charges of Cancellation.
- More than 15 Days and Less than 30 days Before Travel – 50% of the Package cost.
- Less than 15 Days / No Show – 100% of the Package cost.
- Travel Dates Between Dec 10 - Jan 20 – 100% of the Package cost (No cancellation entertained at this time)
