On day of this Spiti Valley tour, we start our epic Himalayan road trip today and start driving to Sangla. With the Baspa river magically weaving itself through the forested slopes, this exquisite 95-kilometer stretch of the Sangla Valley is a sight to behold. Known predominantly for its agriculture, almost every house in Sangla will have cultivations of apples, pears, walnuts, apricots or potatoes.Dinner & overnight stay at Kalpa.

After breakfast, check out from your hotel in Kalpa. Before departing, ensure that any remaining sightseeing in Kalpa is completed, as no sights will be revisited. Begin your adventurous drive towards Tabo, entering the spectacular cold-desert landscapes of Spiti Valley.

The distance between Kalpa and Tabo is approximately 165 km, and it would take around 6 to 8 hours to reach by road, depending on road conditions and sightseeing stops.

 

During the journey, witness the gradual transition from the lush green valleys of Kinnaur to the barren Himalayan desert terrain of Spiti.

The distance between Tabo and Kaza via Dhankar & Pin Valley is approximately 85 km, and it would take around 4 to 6 hours to reach, depending on sightseeing stops and road conditions.

• En route to Langza: Drive approximately 15 km to Langza, a journey taking about 30 minutes.

• En route to Hikkim: Continue your journey to Hikkim, a short drive of about 10 km, taking roughly 20 minutes.
• Hikkim Village: Visit the world's highest post office and send a postcard to a loved one.
• En route to Komik: Proceed to Komik, another 10 km drive, approximately 20 minutes.
• Komik Village: Discover Komik, one of the highest motorable villages in the world, and visit the vibrant Komik Monastery.
• Return to Kaza: Begin your scenic drive back to Kaza, a journey of about 25 km, taking around 40 minutes.

Your route will take you towards Chandrata, with a significant portion of the journey focused on exploring the immediate surroundings of Kaza before heading towards the final destination.

En route, visit the following attractions:

• Ki Monastery: Perched atop a hill, this ancient monastery is a vital spiritual center and offers panoramic views of the valley.
• Kibber Village: Once the highest motorable village in the world, Kibber is known for its traditional Spitian architecture and unique culture.
• Chicham Bridge: Suspended between two cliffs at an astonishing height, this is one of Asia's highest suspension bridges, offering thrilling views and a remarkable feat of engineering.

The distance from Kaza to Chandrata is approximately 100 km, and the drive will take around 3-4 hours, depending on road conditions and the time spent at each stop. The journey itself is a spectacle, winding through dramatic landscapes.

Upon arrival in Chandrata, check into your accommodation. The rest of the day is yours to relax and absorb the serene beauty of this high-altitude region. You can take a leisurely walk around the campsite or simply enjoy the tranquility of the surroundings.

Today, we commence our journey back home and drive on the Kaza – Manali road, one of the most adventurous roads. We visit the Kunzum Mata mandir at the Kunzum Pass and then we take a last stop at another Spitian wonder – Chandratal Lake. The mystical and beautiful Lake, which translates to “Moon Lake”, located at a height of 14,000 feet. We will cross the Chacha-Chachi dhaba at Batal, and see some of the most scenic views on the route to Manali. We cross the Atal Tunnel before arriving in Manali by Late noon . drive towards kullu and further to your stay .. Today marks your return journey from Manali to Delhi. After a leisurely breakfast, it's time to check out from your hotel in Manali. Ensure you have completed any last-minute souvenir shopping or a final stroll through the charming town before departing.

 

The journey from Manali to Delhi is approximately 530 km and will take around 13-16 hours by road. This is a full-day travel experience, so prepare for a long but scenic drive.

 

As you approach Delhi, the urban landscape will gradually replace the natural beauty of the mountains. Upon arrival in Delhi, you will be transferred to your onward destination or accommodation, concluding your journey.
