Rann of Kutch Sightseeing

After breakfast, set out to explore the vibrant culture and natural beauty surrounding the Great Rann of Kutch. The region offers a unique blend of scenic landscapes, traditional villages, and historical sites that capture the essence of Kutch.

 

Sightseeing around Rann of Kutch (Any sightseeing mentioned will be covered once during the entire stay at Runn of Kutch):

  • White Desert (Dhordo) – Witness the surreal expanse of salt marshes stretching to the horizon. The gleaming white sand creates an enchanting view, especially under the bright sun.
  • Kalo Dungar (Black Hill) – The highest point in Kutch, about 462 meters high, offering a panoramic view of the Great Rann. Don’t miss the Guru Dattatreya Temple, dedicated to Lord Dattatreya.
  • Bhirandiyari Check Post – Stop here to collect the entry permits required to access the Rann region.
  • Handicraft Villages (Gandhi nu Gaam, Bhirandiyara, Hodka, Ludiya, and Khavda) – Explore these artisan villages to witness traditional Kutchi embroidery, mirror work, mud houses, and local lifestyle.

Dwarka to Somnath via Porbandar (Approx. 425 km / 8–9 hours)

After breakfast, check out from your hotel in Dwarka and visit the Dwarkadhish Temple. Begin your drive towards Porbandar (Approx. 145 km / 3–3.5 hrs).

 

Porbandar Sightseeing:

  • Kirti Mandir – Birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi, showcasing his life and legacy.

Diu to Sasan Gir

Enjoying a quick breakfast before departing. After a scenic drive of about 2-3 hours, arrive in Gir National Park and check into your accommodation. Spend the afternoon exploring the park, going on a safari to spot the majestic Asiatic lions and other wildlife. After your safari, have lunch at a nearby restaurant, then visit the local villages to experience the culture.

Sasan Gir → Ahmedabad

Return to Ahmedabad via Junagarh

Visit the fort and Swaminarayan temple at Junagadh and leave for Ahmedabad to wrap up your holiday. After breakfast, you will the checkout from the hotel and proceed to Junagadh. Here you will visit the Upperkot Fort, Mahabatt Maqbara and the Swaminarayan temple. Later, you will leave for Ahmedabad.
