Visit Shimla & Kufri Local Sights

Today, embark on a delightful exploration of Shimla and Kufri, experiencing the best of their local attractions.

 

Begin your day with a leisurely breakfast at your hotel in Shimla. After checking out, you'll head towards the picturesque hill station of Kufri, renowned for its stunning natural beauty and adventure activities.

  • Himalayan Nature Park (Kufri): Explore this vast park, home to a diverse range of Himalayan flora and fauna, offering a glimpse into the region's rich biodiversity.
  • Mahasu Peak (Kufri): Take a short trek or a pony ride to the summit for breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding snow-capped mountains and verdant valleys.
  • Kufri Fun World: If time permits and you're seeking some lighthearted fun, this amusement park offers various rides and activities.

 

After soaking in the charm of Kufri, you will drive back to Shimla.

Upon returning to Shimla, explore these local gems:

  • The Ridge: The heart of Shimla, offering stunning views of the valley and a vibrant social hub.
  • Mall Road: Stroll along this bustling pedestrian street, perfect for shopping for local handicrafts and enjoying the colonial architecture.
  • Christ Church: Admire the neo-Gothic architecture of this historic church, one of the most prominent landmarks in Shimla.
  • Jakhoo Temple: Visit this ancient temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman, perched atop Jakhoo Hill, offering panoramic views of the town.

 

Conclude your day with a delightful dinner at a local restaurant or hotel (If prebooked.).

 

  • Due to municipal corporation's mandate, tourist vehicles/outside vehicles are not allowed in certain areas. Vehicle will be parked to certain parking spot, and such areas must be covered on foot.
  • All the sights will only be covered only once even if those are mentioned twice and additional no alternate sights will be offered in compensation.

Shimla → Manali

Travel to Manali from Shimla via Kullu

After breakfast, check out from your hotel in Shimla. Before departing, ensure that any remaining sightseeing in Shimla is completed as no sights will be revisited. Begin your journey towards Manali via the scenic Kullu Valley. The distance between Shimla and Manali is approximately 250 km, and it would take around 7 to 8 hours by road, depending on traffic and weather conditions.

 

Enroute Sightseeing (Kullu Region):

  • Pandoh Dam Viewpoint – A scenic man-made reservoir along the Beas River.
  • Hanogi Mata Temple – A revered hillside temple overlooking the valley.
  • Kullu Shawl Factory – Explore traditional Kullu weaving and purchase authentic woollen products.
  • Beas River Rafting Point (Optional) – Adventure lovers can enjoy river rafting at designated points near Kullu (time & weather permitting).
  • Vaishno Devi Temple (Kullu) – Small sacred shrine located by the roadside.

 

After completing the enroute visits, continue your drive to Manali and check in to the hotel. The remainder of the day is free for leisure.

 

Note: Any sightseeing will be visited only once during the entire travel even if it is mentioned multiple times in the itinerary. In addition, no alternative sights or compensation will be arranged for the same.

Manali Solang valley & Atal Tunnel - Rohtang Pass (With Manali Based Vehicle Only)

Your day begins in the charming town of Manali. After a hearty breakfast, prepare for a scenic drive towards the magnificent Solang Valley. This journey is approximately 14 km and takes about 30 minutes.

 

Your itinerary for the day includes:

  • Solang Valley: Experience the thrill of adventure activities (optional, at your own expense) like paragliding or zorbing, or simply soak in the panoramic views of snow-capped peaks and verdant meadows.
  • Atal Tunnel: Drive through the engineering marvel that is the Atal Tunnel, connecting Manali to Lahaul and Spiti. Enjoy the unique experience of traversing this long, modern tunnel.

 

After a day filled with awe-inspiring sights and memorable experiences, you will return to Manali by evening. The rest of your evening is free to relax and reminisce about your incredible day exploring the Solang Valley and the Atal Tunnel.

 

Please note that Rohtang Pass can not be covered with our vehicle. It would required to rehire the vehicle (At an Additional cost from Manali Bus Stand) and visit the Rohtang Pass.

Manali → Mcleodganj

Manali to Mcleodganj/Dharamshala via Naggar Castle

Begin your day in Manali with an early breakfast. Ensure you have completed any remaining Manali sightseeing before checking out from your hotel.

 

Today's journey takes you from Manali to McLeodGanj via the historic Naggar Castle. The total distance is approximately 220 km, with an estimated travel time of around 7-8 hours, including stops.

 

En Route Sightseeing:

  • Naggar Castle: Explore this ancient castle, once the residence of the rulers of Kullu. It offers panoramic views of the Kullu Valley and houses a small museum.
  • Kullu Valley: Enjoy the scenic beauty of the valley as you drive through, known for its apple orchards and the Beas River.

 

Upon arrival in McLeodGanj, check into your hotel. The rest of the afternoon is dedicated to exploring this serene hill station, the seat of the Dalai Lama.

 

McLeodGanj Attractions:

  • Tsuglagkhang Complex: The official residence of the Dalai Lama, featuring the main temple, Namgyal Monastery, and the Tibet Museum.

Mcleodganj Sightseeing - Upper Dharamsala

(If you want to do some small trek, you can hire a guide to go Triund Trek.) Today post breakfast, we would cover Saint John in the Wilderness Church, Namgyal Monastery, Tibet Museum. Post late lunch we would head for Sunset Point. After an exciting tour of Dhauladhar Ranges, we would be returning to Mcleodganj. We will cover the sights that are still remaining including Bhagsu Nag temple, Bhagsu Nag Waterfalls, The Church, Dharamsala Stadium, Kunal pathri temple, Tea gardens, War memorial, and Tirlokinath temple. stop over at Dal Lake.

After Breakfast check out and visit dalhousie sightseeing On the way visit Dainkund Peek. Spend your day at Khajjiar, better known as mini Switzerland. Enjoy the market and shop a little. After lunch toward Chamera Lake to enjoy the lake build by the blocked water used as Dam.
