After completing formalities, begin your journey to Mirissa, a beautiful coastal town known for its golden beaches and vibrant marine life. The distance from Colombo Airport to Mirissa is approximately 145 km, with an estimated travel time of about 3.5 to 4 hours depending on traffic conditions.

Local Sightseeing at Mirissa

Since the day starts and ends in Mirissa, there is no need for hotel checkout or travel time. The day is dedicated entirely to exploring Mirissa and its surroundings.

Set off on the scenic journey to Ella, which is approximately 150 km away and takes around 4.5 hours by car or private transport. The route is a beautiful blend of coastal and mountainous scenery.

  • Diyaluma Falls – Sri Lanka’s second highest waterfall, a great spot for a quick photo stop and light refreshments.

After arriving in Ella, check in at your hotel and prepare for an afternoon of exploration.
