e-Visa Process

• Post 30th Apr, 2024 eVisa has to be applied, at an additional cost, to enter Sri-Lanka.
• eVisa is valid for 30 days Single Entry.
• Carry atleast INR 2,500/- Per Person Per Day for Usual Day.
• Consider Shopping Expenses.
• Consider Activities Expenses (If you are willing to enjoy many activities than regulars.)
• Activate Foreign Roaming on your Sim if the cost is cheaper.
• If international roaming is costly, plan to buy a sim at Srilanka (Not at Airport). It would cost around max 8-10$.

General Instructions

• Before Purchasing Sights entry tickets at any counter, inform that you are from SAARC countries. At a few counters, ticket cost is lower for the SAARC Residents.
• eVisa: Make sure to complete Visa Formalities before heading to Srilanka.
• Travel Insurance: Purchase comprehensive travel insurance that covers medical emergencies, trip cancellations, and other unforeseen circumstances.
• Vaccinations: Ensure you are up-to-date on routine vaccinations and consider vaccinations for diseases such as Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Typhoid, and Japanese Encephalitis.
• Mosquito Protection: Protect yourself against mosquito-borne diseases like dengue fever and malaria by using insect repellent, wearing long-sleeved clothing, and sleeping under mosquito nets, especially in rural areas.

• Hotel bookings are done with your Name. Sometimes agency names may differ.
• If required, lunch and dinner restaurants can be advised accordingly.
• Make sure you are aware about the prices of the services that you are using. As few hotels charge heavily for their services. Just bargain for things before even using them.
• If you are reaching late in the evening, please call the hotel. Sometime hotels release the booking if they are not informed about your delay.
• Please ask check-out time of the hotel. Make sure to check out as per guidelines. It may reduce headaches.
• As soon as you enter the hotel, make sure to ask the facilities (with the prices if any) available in the hotel to utilize them best.
• Enjoy the wilderness. Leave only footprints and take only photographs.
