The Atal Tunnel is not an attraction located inside Sissu, but it is an important part of the journey for travellers arriving from Manali. Sissu sits above 3,100 metres, so expect cold nights even in summer and freezing temperatures for much of winter. Roads through the Atal Tunnel and beyond can close temporarily after heavy snow, so build flexibility into your plans if you’re travelling between November and March.
