Rajasthan 3 Days 2 Nights Tour Itinerary: Jaipur to Ranthambore

After arrival at Jaipur Airport, meet and greet our representative who will assist you with your journey to Ranthambore, one of India’s most famous national parks known for its rich wildlife and Bengal tiger population. Ranthambore is approximately 190 km from Jaipur, and it takes around 4 to 5 hours by road to reach.

 

Upon arrival in Ranthambore, check in to your resort and relax for a while. Later, you can visit the nearby attractions:

• Ranthambore Fort – A UNESCO World Heritage Site located inside the national park, offering panoramic views of the forests and lakes.
• Trinetra Ganesh Temple – One of the oldest temples dedicated to Lord Ganesha, situated within the fort complex.
• Padam Talab & Surwal Lake – Known for scenic beauty and a variety of migratory birds (best visited in winter months).

 

About Ranthambore Safari Zones:
Ranthambore National Park is divided into 10 safari zones (Zone 1 to Zone 10).

• Zones 1–5 are considered premium tiger zones, located in the park’s core area, offering the highest chances of tiger sightings.
• Zones 6–10 lie in the buffer area but are equally scenic, featuring open grasslands, rocky hills, and tranquil water bodies.

 

Each safari typically lasts around 3 hours, available in two slots: morning (6:30 AM – 9:30 AM) and afternoon (2:30 PM – 5:30 PM). Evening is free for leisure at your resort. You can enjoy a nature walk, interact with locals, or attend a short wildlife documentary session organized by your stay.

Safari Visit and Later Post-Lunch Visit to Fort in Ranthambore

Since your start and end point is Ranthambore itself, there is no city change involved, and no travel time or distance to account for outside the park and nearby attractions.

Morning Safari:

Begin your day early with a thrilling safari inside Ranthambore National Park, renowned for its population of Bengal tigers and diverse wildlife. The park is spread over approximately 392 square kilometers and offers excellent opportunities to spot:

• Bengal Tigers – elusive yet often sighted apex predators of the park.
• Leopards and Sloth Bears – rare sightings of other big cats and mammals.
• Various Bird Species – including kingfishers, eagles, and peacocks.
• Deer and Wild Boars – common herbivores seen grazing in the forest.

After the safari, return to your hotel or a local eatery for a relaxing lunch.

Post-Lunch Visit to Ranthambore Fort:

In the afternoon, visit the historic Ranthambore Fort, located within the park boundary. This UNESCO World Heritage Site dates back to the 10th century and offers:

• Ancient Architecture – impressive ramparts, gateways, and ruins showcasing Rajput strength.
• Stunning Views – panoramic vistas of the surrounding forest and lake from the fort’s ramparts.
• Temples Within the Fort – including the Ganesh Temple and other ancient shrines.

Spend the late afternoon exploring the fort and absorbing the rich history and natural beauty of the area. As the day winds down, you can take a leisurely walk along the nearby lake or enjoy some quiet time amid the wilderness.

We will enjoy the Safari at the Ranthambore National Park, if not covered so far. Later you can enjoy your time at the hotel/resort till the time you want (However rooms will be available till check out time). Later may be post lunch, we will head back to Jaipur. Post check in, you can enjoy the sights which are yet to be completed, and enjoy the great Shopping complexes of Jaipur.
