Vietnam 9 Days 8 Nights Tour Itinerary: Hanoi to Ho chi minh city via Da nang

Upon arrival at Noi Bai International Airport (HAN) in Hanoi, you will be met by our representative for a comfortable transfer to your hotel. After completing the check-in process, you'll have some time to refresh before embarking on a captivating half-day city tour of Hanoi.

 

In the afternoon, we will head for the city sights. We will cover the followings.

 

Today's Hanoi Exploration:

• Hoan Kiem Lake: Begin your journey at the picturesque heart of Hanoi, a serene lake surrounded by lush greenery and historic sites.
• Old Quarter: Immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of Hanoi's ancient trading streets, a maze of narrow alleys filled with bustling shops, local eateries, and traditional crafts.
• Temple of Literature: Visit Vietnam's first national university, a beautiful example of traditional Vietnamese architecture and a testament to the country's rich scholarly history.
• Train Street: Experience the unique thrill of Hanoi's famous Train Street, where a functioning railway line runs incredibly close to residential buildings, offering a fascinating glimpse into local life.

After your enriching city tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel. The remainder of the evening is at your leisure to explore more of Hanoi at your own pace or relax.

 

Please note: Should dress modestly by covering from shoulders to knees when visiting Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, temples, pagodas, etc.

Begin this day by onboarding your pre-booked transfer for a day trip to Ninh Binh city. Visit the Hoa Lu temples, the ancient capital of Vietnam, once home to the Dinh and Le Dynasties, after whom many attractions in the area are named. Afterwards, explore the limestone caves of Tam Coc on a boat ride (at an extra cost) from Hao Lu. From there, enjoy a cycling adventure to Bich Dong Pagoda before getting transferred to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Get picked up at the hotel in Hanoi Old Quater/ Opera House to depart for Halong Bay

Our journey follows Hanoi – Haiphong- Tuan Chau Highway (about  a 3 hour- drive)

On the way, we stop for a short break for 30 minutes to relax

 

Arrive at Tuan Chau Harbor, get on Cruise with our crew’s warm welcome. Enjoy the welcome drink then start the excursion to discover  the beauty of the world heritage site.

 

Enjoy Vietnamese  lunch on the boat. While having lunch, the boat will pass by  the beautiful scenery on both sides with thousands of limestone such as Fighting Chicken and Incense Burner Islets – 2 symbols of Halong Bay

 

Arrive at Bo Hon Island, and you will visit Sung Sot Cave – the most beautiful cave with a lot of stalagmites and stalactites. Do kayaking or bamboo boat through Luon Cave to discover the beautiful lagoon. Visit TiTop Island with its sandy beach. You can go swimming here or trek up to the top of the island for sightseeing all of Halong Bay 

 

Back to the boat for the sunset party (with wine, tea, fruits, and biscuits) meanwhile the boat is cruising back to the harbor Arrive back to the harbor. Get on the bus and return to Hanoi 

Your journey begins in Hanoi. After a leisurely morning, head to Noi Bai International Airport (HAN) for your flight to Da Nang (DAD).

 

This is a domestic flight, and the travel time is approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes. Please ensure you arrive at the airport at least 2 hours prior to your scheduled departure.

 

Upon arrival at Da Nang International Airport, you will be met and transferred directly to your hotel in the charming ancient town of Hoi An. The drive from Da Nang Airport to Hoi An is approximately 30 km and takes about 45 minutes.

 

After checking into your hotel in Hoi An, embark on a guided tour of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Hoi An Ancient Town. Explore its well-preserved architecture, a captivating blend of Vietnamese, Chinese, and Japanese influences.

• Japanese Covered Bridge: An iconic symbol of Hoi An, featuring a pagoda inside.
• Tan Ky Old House: A beautifully preserved merchant house showcasing traditional architecture and historical artifacts.
• Phuc Kien Assembly Hall: A stunning example of Chinese architecture, dedicated to the goddess Thien Hau.
• Hoi An Market: Immerse yourself in the vibrant local life, browse for souvenirs, and sample local delicacies.

Wander through the lantern-lit streets, soak in the unique atmosphere, and perhaps enjoy some tailor-made clothing or local handicrafts. Your evening is free to further explore Hoi An at your own pace.

Get transferred to Ba Na Hills for a thrilling adventure. Ascend to the summit via cable car & see the lush rainforest below you. Witness the architectural marvel of the Golden Hand Bridge, a stunning walkway suspended over a valley. Learn winemaking secrets at the Debay Wine Cellar and enjoy rides and attractions at Fantasy Park. Conclude with a visit to Linh Ung Pagoda to see the iconic Lady Buddha statue & panoramic views of the coastline. Later, get driven to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Today's adventure takes you to the enchanting Coconut Forest and promises a unique basket boat ride experience, all within the vibrant city of Da Nang.

 

Begin your day with a delightful exploration of the Coconut Forest. This lush green paradise offers a serene escape from the city bustle. Immerse yourself in the tranquil atmosphere as you wander through the dense groves of coconut palms.

 

Prepare for an unforgettable experience with a traditional basket boat ride. Glide through the serene waterways, expertly navigated by local guides. This is a fantastic opportunity to witness the unique way of life in the delta and learn about the local fishing techniques. Keep an eye out for the playful local fishermen demonstrating their skills.

 

Enjoy a delicious local lunch, savoring the fresh flavors of Vietnamese cuisine. Afterwards, you'll have some free time to relax or perhaps explore the surrounding area at your own pace. Consider picking up some local handicrafts as a memento of your visit.

 

As the day winds down, you'll be transferred back to your accommodation in Da Nang, filled with memories of your immersive Coconut Forest tour and the charming basket boat adventure.

Breakast at hotel. Take the flight to Ho Chi Minh and check in at the Hotel.Take some rest and then depart for Cu Chi tunnel, the trip will take approximately one and a half hours bus driving. Upon arrival, before exploring the tunnels, you will have some short introduction followed by introductory video about how the tunnels were constructed and how the people survived in the harsh conditions of the war time. Then, spend your time to explore the remaining area and tunnel systems which included the special constructed living areas with kitchens, bedrooms side by side with other martial facilities like storage, weapons factories, field hospitals, and command centers helping whoever lives inside the tunnels meet their basic needs. Besides, there are also many hidden trap doors and dangerous traps within the maze-like tunnels for security purpose during the war. Afterward, special tea and cassava (guerilla’s food during the war) will be served. Break time for relax or time for those who want to try the real shooting gun. (Paid by your own) Return to Saigon.

Prepare yourself for an exciting experience of a sightseeing tour in the Mekong Delta. During this day trip, spend some time at Ving Trang Pagoda, followed by a boat ride in My Tho. Also, enjoy a visit to Tortoise Islet and its various fruit orchards. In the evening, get transferred back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
