Arrival at Leh Airport - Scenic Flight Experience and Leisure Time
Upon your arrival at Leh Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport, prepare for an unparalleled experience even before you land. The flight into Leh is renowned for its breathtaking panoramic views of the majestic Himalayas, offering a spectacular introduction to the rugged beauty of Ladakh. After clearing immigration and baggage collection, meet your representative who will facilitate your transfer to your pre-booked hotel in Leh.
Once you've checked into your hotel, the most crucial activity for your first day in Leh is acclimatization. Leh is situated at a high altitude (around 11,500 feet or 3,500 meters), and it is vital to rest and allow your body to adjust to the reduced oxygen levels. We highly recommend spending the majority of your day relaxing at the hotel, avoiding strenuous activities, and staying well-hydrated.
Afternoon & Evening Leisure in Leh:
In the late afternoon or early evening, once you feel adequately rested, you may opt for a very gentle stroll to explore the immediate surroundings of your hotel.

Leh to Nubra Valley - Scenic Drive via Khardung La with Diskit Monastery Visit
Your scenic adventure from Leh to Nubra Valley begins today. After checking out from your accommodation in Leh, ensure any remaining sights you wished to explore in Leh are completed before embarking on this journey.
Set out on a thrilling drive to Nubra Valley, often referred to as the 'Valley of Flowers' and known for its high-altitude desert landscapes. The route will take you through the iconic Khardung La Pass.
The first leg of your journey from Leh to Khardung La Pass is approximately 39 km and typically takes about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on road conditions and traffic, as you ascend winding mountain roads.
En route, you will experience:
- Khardung La Pass – Standing at an altitude of 17,582 feet (5,359 meters), it is one of the highest motorable passes in the world.
After a memorable stop at Khardung La, you will continue your descent towards Nubra Valley. The drive from Khardung La Pass to Diskit, the main village in Nubra Valley, is approximately 90 km and usually takes around 2.5 to 3 hours, offering a dramatic change in scenery as you enter the wide valley.
Upon your arrival in Nubra Valley, prepare to explore its unique culture and stunning landscapes.
Attractions in Nubra Valley:
- Diskit Monastery – The oldest and largest monastery in Nubra Valley, perched on a hilltop with a commanding view. It is famous for its majestic 106-foot tall Maitreya Buddha statue that overlooks the Shyok River and offers breathtaking vistas of the entire valley.

En route from Pangong Lake to Leh, the journey includes:

- If Normal route/Shyok Route is closed due to Snow Melting or Rain or Administrative reasons, in such a case INR 4000/- for SUV & 7000/- for Traveler would be Extra for Warila Route.

This scenic drive covers approximately 85-95 kilometers and typically takes around 3.5 to 4.5 hours of pure driving time, not including the delightful stops along the way.
Begin your day early in Jispa. If you've been staying in Jispa, ensure you complete your hotel checkout before commencing this adventure, leaving ample time to explore the captivating sights en route to Manali.
En route, you will visit the following spectacular attractions:
- Sissu: After an approximate 1-hour drive from Jispa, you'll reach the charming village of Sissu in the Lahaul Valley. Located on the banks of the Chandra River,
- Atal Tunnel: Proceed from Sissu towards the North Portal of the Atal Tunnel. Experience traversing this engineering marvel, the world's longest highway single-tube tunnel above 10,000 feet.
- Solang Valley: Upon exiting the South Portal of the Atal Tunnel, a short drive of about 15 kilometers (30-40 minutes) will bring you to Solang Valley. Known as the ‘Adventure Valley,’
After an exhilarating visit to Solang Valley, continue your short drive of approximately 13-15 kilometers (30 minutes) to reach your final destination, Manali. - Emergency evacuation, rescue, or medical assistance expenses.
- Travel and medical insurance.
- Expenses of a personal nature, including laundry, telephone calls, room service, minibar, beverages, shopping, porterage, tips, and similar personal expenses.
- Tourist permits, entry fees, or other government charges not specifically included in the package, except Inner Line Permit (ILP) where expressly mentioned.
- Personal medicines, medical kits, oxygen cylinders, or any other medical equipment.
- Flight tickets, train tickets, or any other mode of transportation unless specifically included in the quotation.
- Camera, video camera, drone, or photography charges levied at monuments, sightseeing attractions, or other locations.
- Any item, service, activity, meal, ticket, or expense not specifically mentioned under the Package Inclusions.
Domestic Travel
- 50% of the total package cost for the confirmation.

Land Package Cancellation Charges
- More than 30 Days before Travel - 15% of the total Package cost. Hotel /Cruise /Ferry cancellations/ retentions would be additional to the service charges of Cancellation.
- More than 15 Days and Less than 30 days Before Travel – 50% of the Package cost.
- Less than 15 Days / No Show – 100% of the Package cost.
- Travel Dates Between Dec 10 - Jan 20 – 100% of the Package cost (No cancellation entertained at this time)
Flight Cancellation Charges
- Individual Airline's and respective tickets have Cancellation Policy printed. Respective Cancellation Policy will be applicable in every case.
- Applicable only In case of Genuine Reason for Postponing the trip with Valid documents. Postponement would not be possible within a week of travel dates.
- Credit for Maximum 9 months would be Provided.
- Any Cancellation charges(Cruise/Flight/vehicle cancellation & Hotel Retention) would be deducted from the credit amount.
- Rate Differences (It could be any amount great than or equal to ZERO), as per the new travel date, would be additional at the time of booking.
- Company's Service Charges would be Zero.
- A traveler can change the destination and increase/decrease/change the travelers, however minimum package cost must be equal/higher to postponed package cost.
- A traveler can allow other traveler to use the credits before expiry.
- Any confirmed postponed trip, can not be cancelled/refunded further for any known and unknown reasons. If you are not a frequent traveler, please request cancellation only.
- Coordinate with Airline Flight changes/amendments/cancellations/credit-shell.
- In case of postponement, dates must be informed minimum 45 days before travel.
Route Change Information
In June, July, August, and September due to either heavy ice melting or rains or any known or any unknown reasons, if vehicle route is changed then Client has to pay additional amount to the driver. If you do not want to travel with the changed route, driver can wait as per your instructions. Driver would risk neither your nor his own life at risk. Although, further hotels bookings are non-refundable.
Example: If route between Nubra to Pangong is not operational via Shyok Valley, then Wari La route is open, but it would cost additional INR 4,000-5,000 for SUV and INR 7000-9000 Via Tempo traveller.
Acute Mountain Sickness
- Precautionary Measures: No activities are planned for the first day of your trip unless specifically requested, to help you acclimate.
- First Day Recovery: It is expected that you should feel better by the first evening.
- Breathing Stabilization: If your breathing stabilizes before leaving for Nubra, Pangong, or Tso Moriri, issues are highly unlikely but not impossible.
- Oxygen Cylinder: If breathing issues persist, carry an oxygen cylinder or can. Rental charges for oxygen cylinders range from INR 500 to INR 1000 per day for the entire journey.
- Avoid Alcohol: Do not consume alcohol on the first day.
- Hydration: Drink enough water throughout the trip.
Motor Bike Rent
- Test Drive: It is crucial to judge the bike's condition. Please request a test drive before hiring, especially for difficult terrains.
- Deposit & ID: You must submit a deposit amount and your ID card to rent the bike.
- Extra Costs: The luggage carrier/saddlebag costs extra per day with the bike rental.
- Petrol Charges: Petrol charges are borne by the rider unless stated otherwise.
- Half-Day Rental: If renting the bike for half a day, return it by 2:00 PM; otherwise, full-day charges will apply.
- Leh Bike Restrictions: Bikes rented outside Leh are not allowed for sightseeing in Ladakh, including Pangong Tso, Nubra Valley, and Khardung La. They can only be used to enter Leh from Srinagar-Leh Highway or Manali-Leh Highway. For local sightseeing, rent a bike from a rental shop in Leh.
- Private Bikes: Private bikes are allowed everywhere in Ladakh. The private bike should be in your name or your father/mother's name. Having document proof associated with your and the bike owner's identities is generally sufficient.
- Ladakh Police: Unlike rest of the India, Police in Ladakh love people who follow rules. Don't flaunt the rules.
The Ladakh motor bike rental association has setup check posts at various sightseeing locations and they are mostly very active in checking especially in season time. Hence, do not get into any kind of ugly situation in case confronted and at fault. It will most likely ruin your trip and days you took off from office. Best bet in such cases is to act ignorant of the rule and agree to return to Leh to rent a bike motor bike from Leh for sightseeing.
Things to Know If Kashmir/Jammu is Included
- SIM Cards: Pre-paid SIMs do not work in Jammu, Kashmir (Mostly all Carriers), and Ladakh (BSNL, JIO, & Airtel). Post-paid SIMs with approved KYC are required.
- Gondola Ride: Book the Gondola ride at least 21-30 days in advance.
Union Related Issues and Information
- Vehicles are Non AC, Heater and AC if required will be provided on additional cost.
- In Kashmir AC/Heater, in the vehicle, would cost INR 300/- Per Day additional(as of Jun, 2024. In future cost may change.).
- In Ladakh AC/Heater charges are mentioned in Union Rate Sheet. Amount has to be compensated as per the rate sheet.
- In Ladakh Driver has to follow the Union Rate Sheet, in case of route diversion traveller must compensate the excess amount incurred.
- Due to Local Taxi Union Srinagar taxies are not allowed from base of Pahalgam, Sonamarg and Gulmarg.
- Pahlagam - Aru, Betaab and Chandanwari Valley costs additionally. Rates are listed on the display at the taxi stand.
- Sonmarg sightseeing i.e. Thajwash Glacier and Fish Point charges are additional. Rates has to bargained and discussed with drivers. There are No fix rates at Sonamarg.
- Gulmarg sightseeing - There is nothing much to see here except enjoying the world tallest Gandola/Ropeway, yet if you want to enjoy small sights then local vehicle has to be hired at an additional cost.
- Due to Snow Fall, if Taxi Vehicle with Tyre's cannot travel to Gulmarg, Traveller has to hire another vehicle from Tangmarg. It would be hired on an additional cost.
Houseboat (Srinagar) Related Updates
- Houseboat are sharing based. Basically one room is assigned in a single houseboat.
- These are boats anchored to a platform.
- Heaters are generally not provided Free of Cost in houseboats.
- To reach to the houseboat, Shikara Person must be informed in Advance.
- We operate purely as a service provider and coordinate services as per the confirmed itinerary.
- Driver duty hours: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM. A day is calculated from 00:00 to 23:59 (Calendar Day). If night driving is requested (8:00 PM – 6:00 AM), the driver must be given a minimum 8-hour rest. A ₹400–500/night allowance may apply. Night driving is neither recommended nor included in the package.
- Vehicle Usage: Vehicles operate strictly as per the confirmed itinerary (point-to-point). Additional pickups, drops, or usage beyond the itinerary will be chargeable. Vehicles will only travel on roads considered safe by the driver, irrespective of Google Maps.
- Air Conditioning: AC may not function in hilly regions or when the vehicle is stationary.
- Vehicle Type: Standard Innova vehicles are generally 10–12 years old. Guests seeking a newer vehicle should opt for an Innova Crysta.
- Parking: Parking charges are included only once for sightseeing attractions. Parking at hotels, malls, cinemas, markets, or similar places is not included.
- Hotels: Check-in/out timings vary by hotel (generally between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM). Early check-in and late checkout are subject to hotel availability and policies.
- Changes & Availability: Trip dates, hotels, or itinerary may change based on availability. Any additional cost due to such changes shall be borne by the guest. Extending or shortening a confirmed trip may not always be possible.
- Unused Services: No refund will be provided for unused hotel stays, sightseeing, transport, or other services for any reason.
- Cancellations & Force Majeure: We are not responsible for cancellations, delays, or itinerary changes caused by weather, natural calamities, political disturbances, strikes, festivals, traffic, flight cancellations/rescheduling, overbooking, road closures, entry restrictions, or other force majeure events. Such situations may attract 100% cancellation charges from hotels, transporters, and other service providers.
- Sightseeing: Museums and monuments may remain closed on national holidays or for maintenance. No compensation or refund will be provided for missed visits due to such closures.
- Vehicle Confirmation: Vehicle details will be shared before confirmation. Any preference or objection should be communicated before booking.
- Personal Belongings: Guests are solely responsible for their belongings. We are not liable for any lost or forgotten items.
- Insurance: We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance to protect against last-minute cancellations, medical emergencies, and other unforeseen events.
- Jurisdiction: Any dispute related to the booking, payment, voucher, refund, or services shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the company's registered office. If no objection is raised within 48 hours of receiving the voucher, it shall be deemed accepted along with these terms and conditions.
