Day 1

Pick up from Chandigarh || Head to Shimla

Representative shall pick you up from Airport/ Bus Stand/ Railway Station. The journey from Chandigarh to Shimla covers approximately 113 km and takes around 3.5 to 4 hours by road, depending on traffic and weather conditions.

 

Upon arrival in Shimla, check in at your hotel and take some time to refresh.

Explore the following attractions in Shimla:

  • The Ridge – The heart of Shimla town with open spaces and views of the surrounding mountains.
  • Mall Road – The main shopping street filled with cafes, shops, and colonial architecture. (Vehicles are not allowed)
  • Jakhoo Temple – Situated on Jakhoo Hill, this temple is dedicated to Lord Hanuman and offers stunning views. (Vehicle may not stopped way before the temple.)
  • Christ Church – One of the oldest churches in North India, known for its neo-Gothic architecture.

Spend your evening strolling along Mall Road, enjoying local cuisine at a cozy café, or simply soaking in the cool hill station ambiance.

Day 2

Shimla To Sangla

Begin your scenic journey from Shimla to Sangla, a picturesque valley nestled in the Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh. This route promises breathtaking mountain vistas and charming rural.

En Route to Sangla:-

The drive from Shimla to Sangla is approximately 230 km, taking around 8-9 hours. The journey will take you through winding mountain roads, offering stunning views of the Himalayas.

  • Narkanda: A beautiful hill station known for its apple orchards and panoramic views.
  • Rampur: A historic town on the banks of the Sutlej River, with significant cultural importance.
  • Karcham: The confluence of the Sutlej and Baspa rivers, offering dramatic scenery.

 

Afternoon/Evening:

  • Arrive in Sangla and check into your accommodation.

Sangla Valley: Explore the main attractions of Sangla, including:

  • Bering Nag Temple: A unique pagoda-style temple dedicated to Lord Jagas.
  • Kamru Fort: An ancient fort offering panoramic views of the valley.
  • Sangla Village: Wander through the charming village, observing local life and traditional Himachali architecture.

Sangla to Kalpa - Explore Kamru Fort, Rakcham & Chitkul

After breakfast, check out from your hotel in Sangla. Before departing, ensure that any remaining sightseeing in Sangla is completed, as no sights will be revisited. Begin your scenic journey towards Kalpa via the breathtaking Baspa Valley region.
 

The distance between Sangla and Kalpa is approximately 50 km, and it would take around 3 to 4 hours to reach by road, excluding sightseeing stops.

En-route Sightseeing:

  • Kamru Fort – Historic fort known for traditional Kinnauri architecture and ancient temple structures.
  • Batseri Village – Charming wooden village surrounded by apple orchards and mountain scenery.
  • Chitkul Mata Temple – Traditional local temple reflecting Kinnauri wooden craftsmanship.

 

Continue your drive towards Kalpa via Reckong Peo, the district headquarters of Kinnaur. Kalpa is situated at an altitude of approximately 2,758 meters, and is famous for panoramic views of the sacred Kinner Kailash Range. During sunrise and sunset, the snow-covered peaks glow beautifully with golden and crimson hues. Upon arrival in Kalpa, check in to your hotel and relax for the evening.

Kalpa to Kaza - Scenic Journey through Nako, Gue, and Tabo Monasteries

Wake up to the morning view in the town of Kalpa. Today we will head towards Tabo via Nako village. We will stop at Nako village where you can see the famous Nako lake. After a short halt in Nako village head towards Tabo via Gue Village. The Gue village is famous for the Gue mummy which is a naturally mummified body of a Budhist Monk in a meditating position. Explore the monastery and after Gue head towards Tabo. The Tabo Monastery is one of the famous monasteries in Spiti Valley. Tabo village is also famous for its caves (Tabo caves) which can be seen from the village. These caves are used by the monks for meditation and other purposes. Drive further to Kaza , check in the stay , dinner & overnight at Kaza.

Kaza to Sangla

Begin your day by checking out from your hotel in Kaza.

The drive from Kaza to Sangla is approximately 170 km and will take around 6-7 hours, depending on road conditions and stops.

En route, experience these breathtaking sights:

  • Nako Lake: A sacred lake with a small monastery, offering serene views.
  • Giu Village: Famous for its ancient mummy, a unique cultural stop.
  • Chango Village: Known for its ancient Buddhist monastery and traditional architecture.
  • Kalpa: A picturesque village offering stunning views of the Kinnaur Kailash range.

Upon arrival in Sangla, check into your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to explore the charming Sangla Valley. Consider a leisurely walk through the apple orchards or visit the Kamru Fort, a historic citadel offering panoramic vistas.

Sangla to Chandigarh

Begin your day with an early departure from Sangla. After checking out from your hotel, embark on a scenic drive towards Chandigarh. The total distance between Sangla and Chandigarh is approximately 250 km, with an estimated travel time of around 6-7 hours.

En route, consider stopping at the following points of interest: If Time Permits

  • Narkanda: Known for its stunning apple orchards and panoramic views of the Himalayas.
  • Shimla: A popular hill station offering colonial architecture and the famous Mall Road.

Upon arrival in Chandigarh, check into your hotel. The afternoon is dedicated to exploring the planned city.

Land Package Cancellation Charges

  • More than 30 Days before Travel - 15% of the total Package cost. Hotel /Cruise /Ferry cancellations/ retentions would be additional to the service charges of Cancellation.
  • More than 15 Days and Less than 30 days Before Travel – 50% of the Package cost.
  • Less than 15 Days / No Show – 100% of the Package cost.
  • Travel Dates Between Dec 10 - Jan 20 – 100% of the Package cost (No cancellation entertained at this time)
     

Flight Cancellation Charges

  • Individual Airline's and respective tickets have Cancellation Policy printed. Respective Cancellation Policy will be applicable in every case.

  • Hotel bookings are done with your Name. Sometimes agency names may differ.
  • If required, lunch and dinner restaurants can be advised accordingly.
  • Make sure you are aware about the prices of the services that you are using. As few hotels charge heavily for their services. Just bargain for things before even using them.
  • If you are reaching late in the evening, please call the hotel. Sometime hotels release the booking if they are not informed about your delay.
  • Please ask check-out time of the hotel. Make sure to check out as per guidelines. It may reduce headaches.
  • As soon as you enter the hotel, make sure to ask the facilities (with the prices if any) available in the hotel to utilize them best.
  • Enjoy the wilderness. Leave only footprints and take only photographs.
