You can explore the following points in the city today.

• Shopping: Browse the numerous shops lining the street, offering local handicrafts, Sikkimese souvenirs, and trendy fashion.
• Cafes and Eateries: Enjoy a leisurely coffee or a local snack at one of the many charming cafes.
• Local Flavors: Indulge in a delicious lunch at a restaurant on MG Road, sampling Sikkimese cuisine.

Embark on a breathtaking single-day excursion from Gangtok to the stunning Tsomgo Lake, Baba Mandir, and the optional Nathula Pass.

Your day begins with an early morning departure from Gangtok. The journey to Tsomgo Lake is approximately 35 km, taking around 1.5 to 2 hours. Upon arrival at Tsomgo Lake, marvel at its pristine beauty, a glacial lake surrounded by snow-capped mountains. You can enjoy a yak ride (optional, on extra cost) or simply soak in the serene atmosphere. Remember to carry warm clothing as the weather can be chilly.

Next, proceed to Baba Mandir, a revered shrine dedicated to the brave soldier Baba Harbhajan Singh. The distance from Tsomgo Lake to Baba Mandir is about 15 km, taking approximately 30 minutes. Visit the temple and learn about the legend of Baba Harbhajan Singh. Experience the spiritual ambiance of this unique location.

For those interested and if permits are available, an optional visit to Nathula Pass can be arranged (on extra cost). Nathula Pass is a significant border crossing between India and China. The drive to Nathula Pass from Baba Mandir is a short 14 km, taking about 30 minutes.

After a day filled with incredible sights and experiences, you will drive back to Gangtok. The return journey to Gangtok from Baba Mandir (or Nathula Pass) will take approximately 2.5 to 3 hours.

Begin your day in Gangtok by completing any remaining sightseeing before your departure. After checking out from your hotel, embark on a scenic journey to Darjeeling.

The distance between Gangtok and Darjeeling is approximately 96 kilometers, with an estimated travel time of around 3 to 4 hours, depending on road conditions and traffic.

Upon arrival in Darjeeling, check into your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to explore the "Queen of the Hills."

Sights to visit in the evening:

• Darjeeling Mall Road: Stroll along the vibrant promenade, browse local handicrafts, and enjoy the evening atmosphere.

Post Breakfatst head to explore Darjeeling. Visit Batasia Loop and the Ghoom Monastery, Continue to the Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park and Himalayan Mountaineering Institute. Later, explore Tenzing Rock, tea gardens, and Japanese Peace Pagoda. The day ends with local shopping and leisure at Mall Road.
