Upon reaching Gangtok, check into your hotel. The remainder of the day is dedicated to exploring the vibrant capital.

After settling in, you can begin your exploration with these attractions:

• MG Marg: Stroll along Gangtok's pedestrian-only promenade, a lively hub with shops, restaurants, and cafes.

Enjoy your first evening in the serene ambiance of Gangtok.

Embark on a breathtaking single-day excursion from Gangtok to the stunning Tsomgo Lake, Baba Mandir, and the optional Nathula Pass.

Your day begins with an early morning departure from Gangtok. The journey to Tsomgo Lake is approximately 35 km, taking around 1.5 to 2 hours. Upon arrival at Tsomgo Lake, marvel at its pristine beauty, a glacial lake surrounded by snow-capped mountains. You can enjoy a yak ride (optional, on extra cost) or simply soak in the serene atmosphere. Remember to carry warm clothing as the weather can be chilly.

Next, proceed to Baba Mandir, a revered shrine dedicated to the brave soldier Baba Harbhajan Singh. The distance from Tsomgo Lake to Baba Mandir is about 15 km, taking approximately 30 minutes. Visit the temple and learn about the legend of Baba Harbhajan Singh. Experience the spiritual ambiance of this unique location.

For those interested and if permits are available, an optional visit to Nathula Pass can be arranged (on extra cost). Nathula Pass is a significant border crossing between India and China. The drive to Nathula Pass from Baba Mandir is a short 14 km, taking about 30 minutes.

After a day filled with incredible sights and experiences, you will drive back to Gangtok. The return journey to Gangtok from Baba Mandir (or Nathula Pass) will take approximately 2.5 to 3 hours.

Pick up from Gangtok to proceed towards Lachung. On the way to Lachung you will enjoy with the confluence of rivers Lachen chu and Lachung chu at Chungthang, Twin waterfalls and Bhim Nala Waterfalls. In spring the valley erupts in riots of colors as Primulae, Rhododendrons and many other Alpine flowers in full bloom along with snow covered valley except in autumn, You are likely to reach Lachung late in the afternoon or evening. Upon arrival proceed for check-in at hotel.

Lachung Local Sightseeing

A day trip from Lachung to Darjeeling is long and scenic, passing mountains, rivers, and tea gardens. The journey takes 8–10 hours, so it’s tiring. Highlights include Himalayan views, local culture, and cool weather, but it’s better planned as an overnight trip.

Head to enjoy Darjeeling Toy Train post Breakfast. The Darjeeling Himalayan Railway offers a charming day excursion through the hills of Darjeeling. The joy ride to Ghoom passes scenic views, Batasia Loop, and misty mountains, delivering a nostalgic steam-engine experience and breathtaking Himalayan landscapes in a short, memorable journey. It will be an approximately 4 hrs of thrilling experience.

Today marks your departure from the enchanting hills of Darjeeling as you head towards Bagdogra for your flight home. Enjoy a final, leisurely morning in Darjeeling, perhaps with a last cup of world-renowned tea.

Your journey from Darjeeling to Bagdogra is approximately 65 km, with an estimated travel time of around 2.5 to 3 hours, depending on traffic conditions. Please ensure you have completed any remaining sightseeing in Darjeeling before commencing your journey to Bagdogra.

Upon arrival at Bagdogra Airport, you will proceed for your onward flight, carrying with you a treasure trove of memories from Darjeeling.
