Embark on a breathtaking single-day excursion from Gangtok to the stunning Tsomgo Lake, Baba Mandir, and the optional Nathula Pass.

Your day begins with an early morning departure from Gangtok. The journey to Tsomgo Lake is approximately 35 km, taking around 1.5 to 2 hours. Upon arrival at Tsomgo Lake, marvel at its pristine beauty, a glacial lake surrounded by snow-capped mountains. You can enjoy a yak ride (optional, on extra cost) or simply soak in the serene atmosphere. Remember to carry warm clothing as the weather can be chilly.

Next, proceed to Baba Mandir, a revered shrine dedicated to the brave soldier Baba Harbhajan Singh. The distance from Tsomgo Lake to Baba Mandir is about 15 km, taking approximately 30 minutes. Visit the temple and learn about the legend of Baba Harbhajan Singh. Experience the spiritual ambiance of this unique location.

For those interested and if permits are available, an optional visit to Nathula Pass can be arranged (on extra cost). Nathula Pass is a significant border crossing between India and China. The drive to Nathula Pass from Baba Mandir is a short 14 km, taking about 30 minutes.

After a day filled with incredible sights and experiences, you will drive back to Gangtok. The return journey to Gangtok from Baba Mandir (or Nathula Pass) will take approximately 2.5 to 3 hours.

Please note: For Nathula Pass Permits valid IDs are Passport, Driver License, and Voter ID Card.

Today, embark on a breathtaking journey from Gangtok to Lachung, a picturesque village nestled in the Himalayas. The drive covers approximately 120 km and will take around 5-6 hours, offering stunning vistas along the way.

After an early breakfast, check out from your hotel in Gangtok. Ensure you have completed any remaining desired sightseeing in Gangtok before commencing your journey.

En Route Sightseeing

• Seven Sisters Waterfall: Seven cascading streams forming a beautiful waterfall along the North Sikkim highway.
• Naga Waterfall: Tall roadside waterfall plunging dramatically amid rocky cliffs and forest.
• Phodong Monastery: Historic Buddhist monastery known for murals, peaceful ambiance, traditional architecture.

Upon arrival in Lachung, check into your hotel. Take some time to relax and acclimatize to the mountain air.

Proceed for an excursion to Yumthang Valley, also known as the Valley of Flowers.

The distance between Lachung and Yumthang Valley is approximately 25 km, and it would take around 1 hour to reach.

Local sightseeing includes:

• Shingba Rhododendron Sanctuary – Protected forest famous for colourful rhododendron blooms.
• Yumthang Hot Spring – Natural hot spring believed to have medicinal properties.
• Lachung Chu – Scenic river flowing through the valley.

After sightseeing, return to Lachung for the overnight stay.

Today marks your departure from the serene beauty of Lachung as you head back to Gangtok. After a fulfilling morning exploring Lachung's wonders, it's time to embark on your journey back.

The drive from Lachung to Gangtok is approximately 115 km and will take around 6-7 hours, depending on road conditions and stops.

Upon arrival in Gangtok, check into your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to relax and perhaps explore the immediate surroundings of your accommodation. You can take a leisurely stroll along MG Marg, Gangtok's vibrant main street, known for its pedestrian-friendly atmosphere, shops, and eateries. Enjoy dinner at one of the local restaurants, savoring the flavors of Sikkim.

Begin your day in Gangtok by completing any remaining sightseeing before your departure. After checking out from your hotel, embark on a scenic journey to Darjeeling.

The distance between Gangtok and Darjeeling is approximately 96 kilometers, with an estimated travel time of around 3 to 4 hours, depending on road conditions and traffic.

Upon arrival in Darjeeling, check into your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to explore the "Queen of the Hills."

Sights to visit in the evening:

• Darjeeling Mall Road: Stroll along the vibrant promenade, browse local handicrafts, and enjoy the evening atmosphere.

Today marks your departure from the enchanting hills of Darjeeling as you head towards Bagdogra for your flight home. Enjoy a final, leisurely morning in Darjeeling, perhaps with a last cup of world-renowned tea.

Your journey from Darjeeling to Bagdogra is approximately 65 km, with an estimated travel time of around 2.5 to 3 hours, depending on traffic conditions. Please ensure you have completed any remaining sightseeing in Darjeeling before commencing your journey to Bagdogra.
