Arrival at Jodhpur Airport and Head to Jaisalmer

After arrival at Jodhpur Airport, meet and greet our representative who will assist you with your transfer to Jaisalmer, the Golden City of Rajasthan. Jaisalmer is approximately 280 km from Jodhpur, and it takes around 4.5 to 5 hours to reach by road. Upon arrival in Jaisalmer, check in to your hotel and proceed to explore the major sightseeing points.

 

Sightseeing in Jaisalmer:

  • Jaisalmer Fort (Sonar Quila) – A living golden fort with temples, markets, and residential areas.
  • Patwon Ki Haveli – A cluster of intricately carved havelis showcasing detailed architecture.
  • Salim Singh Ki Haveli – Known for its distinctive peacock-shaped design and stone work.

Check Out from Camp, Visit Tanot Mata via Longerwala Border, Finally head to Jodhpur

After breakfast, check out from your desert camp in Sam (Jaisalmer). Before departure, ensure that any remaining experiences or viewpoints in Sam are completed.

 

Begin your journey towards Longewala, the historic Indo-Pakistan war site. The distance between Sam Sand Dunes and Longewala is approximately 65 km, and it takes around 1.5 hours by road.

 

Visit the following attractions:

  • Longewala War Memorial & Border Post – A historic battlefield from the 1971 Indo-Pak War. Explore the bunkers, tanks, museum displays, and the narrated documentary showing the bravery of Indian soldiers.

 

After Longewala, proceed towards Tanot Mata Temple. The distance between Longewala and Tanot Mata Temple is approximately 50 km, and the travel time is around 1 hour.

Sightseeing in Tanot:

  • Tanot Mata Temple – A revered temple known for its miraculous history during the 1965 & 1971 wars, where several bombs dropped nearby did not explode. Maintained partially by the BSF.

 

After completing your visit at Tanot, begin your long journey towards Jodhpur. The distance between Tanot Mata Temple and Jodhpur is approximately 330 km, and it takes around 6 to 7 hours by road.

Upon arrival in Jodhpur, check in to your hotel and proceed for sightseeing (if time permits).
