Rajasthan 5 Days 4 Nights Tour Itinerary: Jodhpur to Udaipur

Pick up from Jodhpur Rly Stn. / Airport. Transfer to hotel and check in. Afternoon proceed for local city sight seeing tour. Jodhpur, stronghold of the fierce Rathore clan, was founded in 1459 by Prince Jodha. Visit the Mehrangarh Fort, situated on a low sandstone hill. Within the fort, visit Moti Mahal and Phool Mahal. Also visit Jaswant Thada, an imposing marble cenotaph, built in memory of Maharaja Jaswant singh II around 1899 and Umaid Public gardens. Return back to hotel and overnight stay.

Begin your day exploring the vibrant city of Jodhpur, famously known as the "Blue City" due to the stunning blue-painted houses around its old town. Start with a visit to:

• Mehrangarh Fort – One of the largest forts in India, perched on a hill offering panoramic views of Jodhpur’s blue rooftops. Discover its impressive palaces, museum, and intricate architecture.
• Jaswant Thada – A beautiful marble cenotaph built in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II, surrounded by peaceful gardens and small lakes.
• Clock Tower and Sardar Market – Dive into the bustling local market where you can shop for spices, handicrafts, textiles, and sample authentic Rajasthani street food.
• Umaid Bhawan Palace Museum – Visit a part of this magnificent palace that showcases royal artifacts and vintage cars, while the rest serves as a luxury hotel.
• Mandore Gardens – Explore historic temples, cenotaphs, and lush gardens that reflect the rich heritage of the region.

Throughout the day, soak up the vibrant culture, architecture, and colors that make Jodhpur unique. Enjoy local cuisine for lunch or tea breaks at traditional eateries around the old city.

 

Please note that sights will not be visited twice. Your itinerary may include it multiple times, but the sights will only be covered once and no alternative sightseeing will be provided.

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and proceed to cover the remaining sightseeing points in Jodhpur that were not visited earlier. Complete sightseeing by 1:00 PM before departing for Udaipur, the City of Lakes. The distance between Jodhpur and Udaipur is approximately 250 km, and it takes around 5 to 6 hours by road.

 

En route, visit:

• Nathdwara Temple – A revered Krishna shrine known for its deity Shrinathji.

Upon arrival in Udaipur, check in to your hotel and relax for the evening.

Begin your day exploring Udaipur, the “City of Lakes,” known for its royal charm, serene waters, and beautiful architecture.

Udaipur Sightseeings:

• City Palace Complex: A magnificent blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture overlooking Lake Pichola, featuring royal courtyards and museums.
• Jagdish Temple: 17th-century temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu, known for its intricate carvings and tall shikhara.
• Lake Pichola: Take a scenic boat ride on this iconic lake to view the Lake Palace and Jag Mandir Island.
• Saheliyon ki Bari: The “Garden of Maidens,” adorned with fountains, lotus pools, and marble pavilions.
• Fateh Sagar Lake: A serene artificial lake offering pedal boating and lakeside views of the Aravalli Hills.
• Vintage Car Museum: A collection of royal-era cars and carriages belonging to the Maharanas of Udaipur.
• Bagore ki Haveli: Restored haveli on the Gangaur Ghat, showcasing Rajasthani artifacts and evening cultural dance shows.
• Karni Mata Temple (Ropeway Point): Reach by ropeway to enjoy panoramic views of Udaipur city and lakes.

Note:
Sightseeing in Udaipur will be covered based on available time across your stay. Entry fees and boat rides are chargeable separately. For a complete experience, evening visits to Bagore ki Haveli Cultural Show or a Sunset Boat Ride on Lake Pichola are highly recommended.
 

Post breakfast, we would head to sights which are yet not covered else shopping is also a great option in Rajasthan. Based on the flight/train timings vehicle shall drop you at the Udaipur Bus/Railway Staion/Airport.
