Kochi → Munnar

Head to Munnar from after checking out from Kochi

Check out from your hotel in Kochi head to Munnar — a charming hill station known for its tea plantations, misty hills, and lush valleys.

 

After sightseeing, begin your drive to Munnar. Munnar is approximately 130 km from Kochi, and it would take around 4 hours by road.

 

En route, visit the following attractions:

  • Valara Waterfalls – A picturesque waterfall surrounded by dense greenery.
  • Cheyyappara Waterfalls – A multi-tiered cascade offering excellent photo opportunities.

 

Upon arrival in Munnar, check in to your hotel and relax. The rest of the day is free for leisure — you may explore the nearby markets or simply enjoy the tranquil surroundings.

Munnar → Thekkady

Head to Thekkady and Enjoy the Sights in Thekkady

After breakfast, check out from your hotel in Munnar. Complete any remaining sightseeing if not already done. Depart for Thekkady. Munnar is approximately 90 km away from Thekkady, and it would take around 3–4 hours by road.

 

En route, visit the following attractions (optional stops depending on time):

  • Spice plantations – Explore Kerala’s aromatic spice gardens and learn about cardamom, pepper, cinnamon, and more.

 

Upon arrival in Thekkady, check in to your hotel and rest briefly. Later, enjoy the following sightseeing and activities in Thekkady:

  • Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary / Periyar National Park – Jungle safari or boat cruise on Periyar Lake to spot elephants, bison, and other wildlife.

Thekkady to Alleppey and Alleppey Siteseeing Stay at Hotel

After breakfast, check out from your hotel in Thekkady. Before departing, you may cover any remaining sightseeing or activities — such as visiting the Spice Plantation, Elephant Junction, or enjoying a short boating session at Periyar Lake.

 

Then, begin your scenic drive to Alleppey, which is approximately 140 km away and takes around 4.5 hours by road. Enjoy the changing landscape as you leave the hills behind and enter the tranquil backwaters region of Kerala.

 

Once in Alleppey, check in to your hotel and relax for a while. Later in the day, you can explore the following sights:

Head to Varkala From Alleppey Via Jatayu

The total distance from Alleppey to Varkala is approximately 90 km, with an estimated travel time of around 2.5 hours. Today, you will travel via the fascinating Jatayu Earth Center, which lies roughly halfway.

 

En route, visit the following at Jatayu Earth Center:

  • Jatayu Sculpture Park – Home to the world’s largest bird sculpture, representing the mythical bird Jatayu from the Ramayana.

Varkala → Kovalam

Varkala to Kovalam

After breakfast, check out from your hotel in Varkala. Complete any remaining sightseeing in Varkala before departure. The distance between Varkala and Kovalam is approximately 55 km, taking around 1.5–2 hours by road.

 

Enjoy a scenic drive through coastal Kerala, passing beautiful beaches, coconut groves, and serene backwaters as you head towards Kovalam, one of India’s most famous beach destinations.

 

Arrive in Kovalam, known for its crescent-shaped beaches, lighthouse views, and relaxed seaside atmosphere. Check in to your hotel and proceed for sightseeing based on available time.

 

Kovalam Sightseeings:

  • Lighthouse Beach: Famous beach with a towering lighthouse offering panoramic views (access by steps).

It would be a day at rest at Kovalam where you can enjoy the beaches and roam around the city.

Kovalam → Kanyakumari

Head to Kanyakumari From Kovalam

After breakfast at 9:00 AM, check out from the hotel. We would travel to Kanyakumari. It would take around 3-4 hours. On arrival check in at the hotel. After lunch at 3:00PM, we would head for Kanyakumari Vivekananda Rock Memorial, Bhagavathi Amman Temple (INR 0 – Max 40 Minutes required), Thiruvalluvar Statue, Kanyakumari Sunset View Point (No Entry Fee, Reach here before 6:00 PM.) Vivekananda Rock Memorial & Thiruvalluvar Statue: It’s located on a small island and hence comes with the backdrop of the Indian ocean which adds to its calm and peaceful vibe. One needs to take a small ferry ride just for Rs.20 to go up to the memorial. Timings: Open on all days from 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM Entry Fee: INR 100 for the couple Recommended Duration: 1 Hour

Head To Trivendrum From Kanyakumari

The distance from Kanyakumari to Trivandrum is approximately 90 kilometers, with a travel time of around 2.5 hours by car. The journey offers glimpses of southern coastal Kerala and Tamil Nadu landscapes.

We will cover the Thiruvanthpuram sights including padmanabhaswamy temple If not covered yesterday and time allows. Today is the time to leave the places. We are sure that you have collected millions of sparkling memories of mountains, beaches and hills. It would be possible to board from either of Trivendram, Alleppey, Ernakulam or Kochi.
