Upon reaching Umling La Pass (19,300 feet / 5,882 meters), take a brief moment to appreciate standing at the world's highest motorable pass. Due to the extreme altitude, it's advised to limit your time here to prevent altitude sickness.

After this momentous stop, continue your extensive drive towards Leh. This segment from Umling La Pass to Leh is a significant journey of approximately 275-295 km and could take an estimated 8 to 10 hours. The route winds through incredibly remote areas via Chisumle, the Demchok Road area, Loma, Chumathang, and Upshi, gradually joining the Indus River valley.
