From the airport, you will be smoothly transferred to your pre-booked hotel in Leh. The drive from the airport to most hotels in Leh town typically takes around 15-20 minutes, covering a distance of approximately 5 km.

After checking in to your hotel, the remainder of the day is dedicated to rest and acclimatization. Leh is situated at a high altitude of over 11,500 feet (3,500 meters), and it is crucial to allow your body sufficient time to adjust to the reduced oxygen levels. This initial day is vital for ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable trip ahead.
