Ahmedabad → Rann of Kutch

On arrival, head to Runn of Kutch

On arrival at Ahmedabad airport, our representative along with the driver, shall pick you up. Later we will head to Dhordo i.e. Runn of Kutch. Dhordho is main place where many camps and resorts are available.

Rann of Kutch Sightseeing

After breakfast, set out to explore the vibrant culture and natural beauty surrounding the Great Rann of Kutch. The region offers a unique blend of scenic landscapes, traditional villages, and historical sites that capture the essence of Kutch.

 

Sightseeing around Rann of Kutch (Any sightseeing mentioned will be covered once during the entire stay at Runn of Kutch):

  • White Desert (Dhordo) – Witness the surreal expanse of salt marshes stretching to the horizon. The gleaming white sand creates an enchanting view, especially under the bright sun.
  • Kalo Dungar (Black Hill) – The highest point in Kutch, about 462 meters high, offering a panoramic view of the Great Rann. Don’t miss the Guru Dattatreya Temple, dedicated to Lord Dattatreya.
  • Bhirandiyari Check Post – Stop here to collect the entry permits required to access the Rann region.
  • Handicraft Villages (Gandhi nu Gaam, Bhirandiyara, Hodka, Ludiya, and Khavda) – Explore these artisan villages to witness traditional Kutchi embroidery, mirror work, mud houses, and local lifestyle.

In the evening, return to the White Desert to enjoy the magical sunset views, where the salt plains reflect the changing colors of the sky. Later, you can also experience the Rann Utsav cultural performances featuring folk dances, music, and local cuisine (subject to season).

 

Return to your camp/resort near Dhordo (10–20 km away) for dinner and an overnight stay.

Rann of Kutch → Dwarka

Head to Dwarka from Rann of Kutch

After breakfast, drive from your resort in Rann of Kutch towards Dwarka. Suggested stops along the way:

Jamnagar (Approx. 250 km / 5–6 hrs from Rann)

  • Lakhota Palace - Closed on Thursday
  • Lakhota Lake

 

Gondal (Approx. 60 km / 1 hr from Jamnagar)

  • Naulakha Palace 
  • Kothi Palace, showcasing Saurashtra’s royal heritage.

 

Continue the drive to Dwarka (Approx. 140 km / 3–4 hrs from Gondal). Check into your hotel and relax after the day’s journey.

Dwarka → Somnath

Dwarka to Somnath via Porbandar (Approx. 425 km / 8–9 hours)

After breakfast, check out from your hotel in Dwarka and visit the Dwarkadhish Temple. Begin your drive towards Porbandar (Approx. 145 km / 3–3.5 hrs).

 

Porbandar Sightseeing:

  • Kirti Mandir – Birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi, showcasing his life and legacy.
  • Sudama Temple – A unique temple dedicated to Sudama, a childhood friend of Lord Krishna.

 

Continue your drive to Somnath (Approx. 280 km / 5–5.5 hrs).

  • Bhalka Tirth – The site where Lord Krishna is said to have been mortally wounded.

Somnath → Diu

Enjoy Sights and Later Head to Diu

If you have not covered the local sights at Somnath, enjoy the local sights. Somnath Aarti is must, do not miss it at any cost. Later after breakfast and check out, we would head to Diu for the beach stay. The day would be relaxing for you. After relaxation enjoy sightseeing tour of Diu visiting St. Paul Church, Diu Museum (Closed on Wednesday), and Gangeshwar Mahadev Temple. In addition, you can even enjoy the beaches in the evening.

Diu → Rajkot

Visit Diu Sights and Head to Rajkot

After breakfast, check out from your hotel in Diu. Before departing, ensure that any remaining sightseeing in Diu is completed as no sights will be revisited.

 

Proceed to explore the key attractions of Diu.

Sightseeing in Diu:

  • Diu Fort – Massive Portuguese-era fort offering sea views and historic cannons.
  • St. Paul’s Church – One of the best-preserved Baroque churches in India.
  • St. Thomas Church & Diu Museum – Former church converted into a museum showcasing sculptures and artifacts.
  • Naida Caves – Naturally formed caves with unique rock formations and light patterns.
  • Ghoghla Beach – Wide and clean beach ideal for relaxation and photography.
  • INS Khukri Memorial – War memorial dedicated to Indian Navy martyrs.

 

After completing sightseeing, begin your journey towards Rajkot. The distance between Diu and Rajkot is approximately 225 km, and it would take around 4.5 to 5 hours to reach by road. Arrive in Rajkot and check in to your hotel for an overnight stay.
