Sham Valley is approximately 35 km away from Leh, and the entire round trip covering all major attractions will take around 4-5 hours, including travel and sightseeing time.

En route to the heart of Sham Valley, you will visit the following attractions:

• Hall of Fame: A museum commemorating the brave soldiers of the Indian Army, showcasing their history, achievements, and the rich culture of Ladakh.

This journey, approximately 120-130 km, will take around 4-5 hours, offering breathtaking vistas as you ascend towards the famed Khardung La.

The drive to Nubra Valley is a spectacle in itself, divided into two distinct parts by the iconic Khardung La pass:

• Leh to Khardung La: Approximately 39 km, an ascent of about 1.5 - 2 hours. This part of the journey takes you through winding mountain roads with stunning views of the Indus Valley.
• Khardung La to Nubra Valley: Approximately 80-90 km, a descent of about 2.5 - 3 hours. After crossing the pass, the landscape transforms into dramatic valleys and eventually, the fertile plains of Nubra.

After a thrilling drive, you will reach the verdant Nubra Valley. Here, immerse yourself in the unique culture and natural beauty of the region.

• Diskit Monastery: Explore the largest and oldest Buddhist monastery in Nubra Valley, dating back to the 14th century. Perched atop a hill, it offers magnificent views of the valley and houses a 32-meter-tall statue of Maitreya Buddha.

Your journey begins from Nubra Valley (e.g., Hunder/Diskit) in the early morning. Set out for the captivating drive towards Pangong Lake. The distance from Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake via the Shyok Valley route is approximately 150-160 km, and the drive typically takes around 5-6 hours, offering a unique and less-traveled path.

Upon arrival at the magnificent Pangong Tso (Lake), prepare to be awestruck by its ever-changing shades of blue. Spend ample time at this iconic location, capturing photographs, walking along its shores, and simply soaking in the serene beauty. Remember to stay hydrated and acclimatize to the high altitude.

After experiencing the magic of Pangong Lake, commence your return journey towards Leh. The drive from Pangong Lake to Leh is approximately 220-230 km and will take around 6-7 hours, traversing the formidable Chang La Pass.

En route from Pangong Lake to Leh, the journey includes:

• Chang La Pass: Conquer the world's third-highest motorable pass at 17,590 ft (5,360 m). Stop briefly to admire the prayer flags and enjoy panoramic views (weather permitting).

Your day begins with a drive towards the scenic Indus Valley. The first stop is Shey Palace, located approximately 15 km from Leh, taking about 25-30 minutes to reach.

• Shey Palace: Once the summer capital of Ladakh, Shey Palace houses a giant copper-gold gilded statue of Shakyamuni Buddha. Explore the palace ruins and enjoy panoramic views of the Indus Valley.

From Shey, proceed a short distance to the magnificent Thiksey Monastery, approximately 5 km away, a drive of about 10 minutes.

It is a free and relax day for the travellers who can decide anything at their own. You can choose to hire a bike to enjoy these sights or relax back at the hotel or walk in the most stunning market.

• Leh Palace: Dominating the town from above, this imposing 17th-century royal palace offers panoramic views of Leh town and the surrounding mountains.
