After checking out from your hotel in Dalhousie in the morning, ensure any remaining quick sights in Dalhousie are completed before setting off. Your drive to Mcleodganj, the seat of the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan Government-in-Exile, will take you through winding roads and picturesque landscapes. Mcleodganj is approximately 120-130 km away from Dalhousie, and the drive typically takes around 4.5 to 5 hours, depending on road conditions and stops.
