Ahmedabad → Dwarka

Arrive At Ahmedabad and Head to Dwarka

After arrival at Ahmedabad Airport, meet and greet our representative who will assist with your transfer. Begin your journey towards Dwarka, one of the most revered pilgrimage destinations in India. Dwarka is approximately 440 km from Ahmedabad and takes around 8–9 hours by road.

 

If preferred, you may take a stopover in Rajkot (approximately 215 km / 4 hours from Ahmedabad) to break the journey. After a short rest or overnight halt in Rajkot, continue your drive to Dwarka (around 225 km / 4.5 hours from Rajkot).

 

En route Sightseeing:

Swaminarayan Temple, Rajkot – A beautifully designed temple reflecting Gujarat’s architectural and spiritual heritage. (If taking a direct drive to Dwarka, en route visits can be limited to save time.)


Upon arrival in Dwarka, check in to your hotel and relax.

Dwarka Local Sightseeing

After breakfast at your hotel, embark on a complete tour of Dwarka, soaking in its spiritual ambiance and historic charm.

Dwarka Sightseeing:

  • Bet Dwarka Temple – Accessible by boat, this temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna and his abode on the island.
  • Rukmini Temple – Dedicated to Lord Krishna’s consort Rukmini, known for its beautiful carvings and architecture.

Dwarka → Somnath

Dwarka to Somnath via Porbandar (Approx. 425 km / 8–9 hours)

After breakfast, check out from your hotel in Dwarka and visit the Dwarkadhish Temple. Begin your drive towards Porbandar (Approx. 145 km / 3–3.5 hrs).

 

Porbandar Sightseeing:

  • Kirti Mandir – Birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi, showcasing his life and legacy.
  • Sudama Temple – A unique temple dedicated to Sudama, a childhood friend of Lord Krishna.

 

Continue your drive to Somnath (Approx. 280 km / 5–5.5 hrs).

  • Bhalka Tirth – The site where Lord Krishna is said to have been mortally wounded.

Gir Excursion from Somnath

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed towards Sasan Gir, the renowned wildlife sanctuary and the only abode of the Asiatic lions in India.


Sasan Gir is approximately 45 km from Somnath, taking around 1.5 hours by road.

 

At Sasan Gir:

  • Gir National Park Jeep Safari – Enjoy an adventurous wildlife safari through the Gir forest, home to over 600 Asiatic lions, leopards, deer, and numerous bird species.

 

Zones: Gir National Park is divided into multiple safari zones

Gir Jungle Trail (core zone) - Approximate Safari Timings (May Differ in different seasons):

  • Morning Slot: 6:00 AM – 9:00 AM
  • Mid-Morning Slot: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
  • Afternoon Slot: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM

 

Devaliya Park (Interpretation Zone): Open from 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM; ideal for those unable to get a jungle permit.

 

Permit & Booking: Safari permits can be booked online at https://girnationalpark.in or via the official forest department portal. ₹800–₹1,000 per person (shared jeep basis) or ₹5,000–₹6,000 per private jeep (up to 6 persons), excluding guide and camera charges. Carry ID proof used for booking and reach the entry gate at least 30 minutes before your slot.

 

After the safari and exploration, drive back to Somnath by evening.

Note 1: Safari timings and availability are governed by the Forest Department and may vary seasonally. Note 2: Sightseeing and safari activities will be covered based on time, slot, and permit confirmation.

Somnath → Diu

Enjoy Sights and Later Head to Diu

If you have not covered the local sights at Somnath, enjoy the local sights. Somnath Aarti is must, do not miss it at any cost. Later after breakfast and check out, we would head to Diu for the beach stay. The day would be relaxing for you. After relaxation enjoy sightseeing tour of Diu visiting St. Paul Church, Diu Museum (Closed on Wednesday), and Gangeshwar Mahadev Temple. In addition, you can even enjoy the beaches in the evening.

Head to Ahmedabad after enjoying Sights at Diu

After breakfast, visit any Diu sights you may have missed, such as Neeleshwar Mahadev Temple, Jallandhar Beach, or Naida Caves, for a final glimpse of the coastal beauty.

 

Begin your drive to Ahmedabad (Approx. 380 km / 7–8 hrs). En route, you can make a short stop at Hanuman Mandir, Sarangpur (Approx. 100 km from Diu / 2 hrs detour), a popular and revered temple in the region.

 

Continue the journey to Ahmedabad and check into your hotel upon arrival.
