Pick up from Guwahati Airport, Head to Shillong

After arriving at Guwahati (GAU) Airport / GHY Railway Station move towards Shillong (49000 ft). Experience the majestic beauty of Umium Lake surrounded by Sylvan Hills. On arrival, check-in to the hotel.

After breakfast, proceed to explore Shillong, the “Scotland of the East,” covering all major city attractions.

Sightseeing in Shillong:

Ward’s Lake – A peaceful lake ideal for short walks and paddle boating.
Lady Hydari Park – A Japanese-style park with gardens and a small zoo.
Cathedral of Mary Help of Christians – A beautiful church known for its stained-glass interiors.
Golflinks Golf Course – One of India’s most scenic natural golf courses.
Don Bosco Museum – A multi-storey museum displaying North-East India’s tribal culture and heritage.
Shillong Skywalk (New Shillong Viewpoint) – A modern glass skywalk offering panoramic views of Shillong’s skyline.
Ever Living Museum – A private museum featuring tribal artifacts, fossils, and traditional collections.
Elephant Falls – A popular multi-tiered waterfall surrounded by greenery.
Air Force Museum – Exhibits aircraft models, uniforms, and historic displays (entry may vary).
Shillong Peak Viewpoint – The highest point in Shillong offering sweeping city views.
Police Bazar – Main market area for shopping local handicrafts, winterwear, and souvenirs.

Return to your hotel after completing sightseeing.

Shillong to Cherrapunjii

After breakfast start to beautiful Cheerapunjee. On the way..Elephanta Falls and Shillong peak with some beautiful road beauty viewpoints. Seven Sister Falls, After reaching the location you will visit Mawsmai Cave, mawphlang sacred groves and forest, mawsynram Village, centuries old limestone cave and the Seven Sisters Falls which symbolizes the seven states of North East. Nawkhalika Falls. Night stay at Sohra/Cherrapunji.

Cherrapunji Local Sightseeings

After breakfast, we would start the local sight visits of Cherrapunji also known as Sohra. Elephanta Falls and Shillong peak with some beautiful road beauty viewpoints. Seven Sister Falls, After reaching the location you will visit Mawsmai Cave, Arwah caves, Garden of caves, Mawkdok view point, centuries old limestone cave and the Seven Sisters Falls which symbolizes the seven states of North East, Nawkhalika Falls, kynrem falls, lyngksiar falls. Night stay at Sohra/Cherrapunji.

Double Decker Bridge and Rainbow Waterfall from Cherrapunji

After breakfast we will head to we will cover the double decker bridge. The root bridges themselves are actually in a tiny little village of Nongriat in the East Khasi Hills. So, you need to reach a place called Tyrna Village which is where the hike begins.It would take 6-7 hours to cover the bridge along with famous rainbow waterfall. Later we will return to Cherrapunji.

Cherrapunji to Mawlynnong and Dawki

Travel to Mawlynnong, often referred to as the "cleanest village in Asia." Explore the village's picturesque surroundings and learn about the local Khasi culture. Visit the Living Root Bridge at Riwai and admire the intricate network of roots used by the locals to create bridges. Head to Dawki and experience the crystal-clear waters of the Umngot River. You can indulge in boating or kayaking in the pristine river waters. Visit the Indo-Bangladesh border at Dawki and witness the breathtaking scenery.

Cherrapunji → Guwahati

Cherrapunjii to Guwahati

After breakfast, visit Thangkharang Park, Khasi Monoliths, Khoh Ramhah, and Kynrem falls. Visit Double root living bridge as there are 3500 steps to reach to the top so you would need 6-7 hours to cover the same. (Double decker bridge can be enjoyed while coming to Cherrapunji also). Later post visiting, we will leave to Guwahati. On reaching, check-in at the hotel and later, go out for a visit to the Kalakshetra, where they exhibit a light and sound show displaying Assamese culture and history. You can even opt for an evening cruise on the Brahmaputra. Finally, return to the hotel and spend the night.
