Sasan Gir → Diu

Sasan Gir Safari and Later Head to Diu

If you haven’t yet experienced the Lion Safari at Sasan Gir, start your day early with the safari (tickets cost borne by the traveler). After the safari, return to your hotel for breakfast and check out.

Drive to Diu (Approx. 190 km / 4–4.5 hrs) for a relaxing beach stay.

Diu → Somnath

Diu Sightseeing and Head to Somnath

After breakfast, we would cover the sights that were not covered yesterday. Later post visiting the sights, we will travel to Somnath to visit the Somnath temple, a revered temple which is one of the twelve temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. Other holy places here are the Bhalka Tirth, the Geeta Mandir and the Triveni Sangam. An aarti and a stunning sound and light show await you at the Somnath Temple in the evening. That will bring an end to the day’s visits, and you will return to the hotel for a good night's sleep.

Somnath → Dwarka

Head to Dwarka, on the way visit Porbandar

In the morning, visit Somamath temple (If want) to participate within the morning Aarti and later head for Dwarka. On the way, we drop at Porbandar to visit Sudama temple and Kirti Mandie. On arrival at Dwarka check in the hotel, and later rest a bit. In the evening proceed to go to places like Rukmani Mandir, Gopi Talav and Dwarkadheesh temple where you get to participate in the evening Aarti.

Dwarka Local Sightseeing

After breakfast at your hotel, embark on a complete tour of Dwarka, soaking in its spiritual ambiance and historic charm.

Rann of Kutch Sightseeing

After breakfast, set out to explore the vibrant culture and natural beauty surrounding the Great Rann of Kutch. The region offers a unique blend of scenic landscapes, traditional villages, and historical sites that capture the essence of Kutch.

 

Sightseeing around Rann of Kutch (Any sightseeing mentioned will be covered once during the entire stay at Runn of Kutch):

  • White Desert (Dhordo) – Witness the surreal expanse of salt marshes stretching to the horizon. The gleaming white sand creates an enchanting view, especially under the bright sun.
  • Kalo Dungar (Black Hill) – The highest point in Kutch, about 462 meters high, offering a panoramic view of the Great Rann. Don’t miss the Guru Dattatreya Temple, dedicated to Lord Dattatreya.
  • Bhirandiyari Check Post – Stop here to collect the entry permits required to access the Rann region.
  • Handicraft Villages (Gandhi nu Gaam, Bhirandiyara, Hodka, Ludiya, and Khavda) – Explore these artisan villages to witness traditional Kutchi embroidery, mirror work, mud houses, and local lifestyle.

In the evening, return to the White Desert to enjoy the magical sunset views, where the salt plains reflect the changing colors of the sky. Later, you can also experience the Rann Utsav cultural performances featuring folk dances, music, and local cuisine (subject to season).

 

Return to your camp/resort near Dhordo (10–20 km away) for dinner and an overnight stay.

Rann of Kutch → Bhuj

Return with loving memories of the white desert

After breakfast, check out from your camp/resort and head towards Bhuj.
Bhuj is approximately 85 km away from the Rann of Kutch, and it would take around 2 hours to reach by road.

 

En route, visit the following attractions:

Bhirandiyara Village – known for its traditional crafts and delicious local mawa sweet.

Khavda Village – a pottery hub where artisans craft beautiful clay and terracotta items.

 

Upon reaching Bhuj, continue exploring its cultural and historical highlights:

  • Aina Mahal – an 18th-century palace adorned with mirror work and European-inspired architecture.
  • Prag Mahal – a majestic Gothic-style palace situated beside Aina Mahal.
  • Kutch Museum – Gujarat’s oldest museum displaying tribal artifacts, musical instruments, and embroidery.
  • Swaminarayan Temple – a marble temple known for its exquisite carvings and peaceful ambiance.
  • Bhujodi Village, a traditional weavers’ village where you can witness live textile weaving and embroidery by local artisans.

 

In the evening, return to Bhuj city. You may explore the local markets known for handicrafts, bandhani fabrics, and silver jewelry before heading to your railway station or airport.
