Arrival at Jaisalmer Airport and Jaislamer Sightseeing

After arrival at Jaisalmer Airport, meet and greet our representative who will assist you with your transfer to the hotel. The distance between Jaisalmer Airport and the main city center is approximately 15 km, and it takes around 30 minutes by road to reach.

 

After check-in and a short refreshment break, proceed to explore the Golden City of Jaisalmer, renowned for its yellow sandstone architecture and desert charm.

Sightseeing in Jaisalmer:

  • Jaisalmer Fort (Sonar Quila) – A UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the world’s largest living forts, offering panoramic views of the city.
  • Patwon Ki Haveli – The most elaborate haveli in Jaisalmer, famous for its intricate carvings and architecture.
  • Salim Singh Ki Haveli – Known for its unique peacock-shaped roof and artistic design.
  • Nathmal Ki Haveli – A beautifully crafted mansion combining Rajput and Islamic architectural styles.
  • Gadisar Lake – A scenic man-made lake surrounded by temples and ghats, perfect for boating and photography.
  • Vyas Chhatri – A sandstone cenotaph offering stunning sunset views over the desert landscape.

Jaisalmer Camp Stay

After breakfast, check out from your hotel in Jaisalmer. Before leaving for the desert, ensure you cover any remaining sightseeing points in Jaisalmer city that were not visited the previous day.

 

Once done, proceed towards your Desert Camp near Sam Sand Dunes. The distance between Jaisalmer and Sam Sand Dunes is approximately 40 km, and it takes around 1 hour by road to reach.

 

En route, visit the following attraction:

  • Kuldhara Village – Located about 20 km from Jaisalmer, this abandoned village of the Paliwal Brahmins is famous for its mysterious history and heritage ruins that whisper tales of its haunting past.

 

Continue your drive to Sam Sand Dunes and check in at your desert camp.

Head to Bikaner - Visit Local Sights

In the morning after the breakfast, we will leave the hotel/camp and head to Bikaner. Bikaner, yet another princely state which was merged into Rajasthan, has many sights to visit during your stay. It has approximately 350 Km away from Jaisalmer and it would take you around 6 hours to reach. After Arrival check into the hotel and relax a bit, later we will head to visit Junagarh Fort, Lalgarh Palace and Museum, Camel Breeding Farm, Bhandasar Jain Temple and Rampuria Havelis, Gajner Palace and Lake. (If the sights can not be covered in a single day, it can spread across to next day.)

  • Anjani Mata Temple – Located near Salasar, believed to be the birthplace of Lord Hanuman’s mother.

 

After offering prayers, proceed towards Khatu Shyam Ji, located around 110 km away. Visit the Khatu Shyam Temple, dedicated to Lord Krishna in his Shyam avatar, and seek divine blessings.

After darshan, continue your journey to Jaipur, which is approximately 80 km from Khatu Shyam Ji. Optionally stop at Sikar or Ringas for refreshments on the way.

 

Arrive in Jaipur by evening, marking the end of a spiritually enriching trip through Rajasthan’s divine circuit.
