Excursion to Khatu Shyam Ji From Jaipur

Begin your day with a drive from Jaipur to Khatu Shyam Ji, one of Rajasthan’s most revered temples.
The distance between Jaipur and Khatu Shyam Ji is approximately 80 km, and the journey takes around 1.5 to 2 hours by road.

 

Sightseeing / Darshan in Khatu:

  • Khatu Shyam Temple – The main shrine of Lord Shyam (Barbarik), known for wish fulfilment.
  • Shyam Kund – Sacred water tank associated with divine healing.
  • Gourishankar Temple – A peaceful Shiva temple near the complex.
  • Shyam Bagichi – A holy garden linked with the legends of Barbarik.

 

After completing darshan, you may explore the local market for prasad and devotional souvenirs.

Later, drive back to Jaipur. The return journey also takes 1.5 to 2 hours approximately. Arrive in Jaipur and proceed to your hotel for rest or fly back from Jaipur (If required.).

Jaipur Local Sightseeing and Head to Ranthambore

We will cover the sights which were not covered yesterday or day before. Otherwise you can enjoy the shopping time in Jaipur Market.  we will head to Ranthambore.

 Ranthambore National Park is approximately 230 Kms from Jaipur. It would take around 4 hours to reach .

Ranthambore National Park – Jungle Safari

Embark on an early morning jeep or canter safari (around 6:00 AM).

Explore the dense forests, ancient ruins, and scenic lakes while spotting wildlife such as tigers, leopards, deer, sloth bears, and a variety of birds.

Return to your resort after the safari and enjoy breakfast.

  • Sightseeing:

Ranthambore Fort – A UNESCO World Heritage Site perched atop a hill inside the park. Explore its temples, massive gateways, and panoramic views of the park below.

Trinetra Ganesh Temple – Located within the fort, this is one of the oldest temples dedicated to Lord Ganesha in Rajasthan.

Padam Talao – The largest lake inside the park, often seen in tiger documentaries, and a great spot for birdwatching.

Rajiv Gandhi Regional Museum of Natural History – A well-maintained museum showcasing the region’s wildlife, ecosystems, and conservation efforts.

Head to pushkar/Ajmer from Ranthambore

Your single-day journey begins from the wildlife haven of Ranthambore as you set out on a scenic drive towards the holy town of Pushkar. This cultural and spiritual transfer covers approximately 210-225 km and is expected to take around 4.5 to 5 hours by road, depending on traffic and stops. Ensure any final explorations of Ranthambore National Park or its fort are completed before commencing your journey.

Morning check out and proceed to Jaisalmer, the golden city of Rajasthan. We do the sightseeing if time permit .Overnight stay at jaisalmer hotel.

Head to Camp via Tanot Mata Temple and Longewala Border

After breakfast, check out from your hotel in Jaisalmer. Before departing, ensure that any remaining sightseeing in Jaisalmer is completed, as no sights will be revisited. Begin your journey towards your Desert Camp.


The distance between Jaisalmer and Tanot Mata Temple is approximately 120 km, taking around 2 to 2.5 hours, and From Tanot to Longewala, the distance is roughly 35 km, taking 45 minutes to 1 hour. Finally, the distance between Longewala and the Jaisalmer Desert Camp region is approximately 45–55 km, taking 1 to 1.5 hours depending on the camp location.

 

Enroute Sightseeing:

  • Tanot Mata Temple – Sacred temple associated with the Indo-Pak War of 1965 and miraculous unexploded bombs.
  • Longewala War Memorial & Border Post – Famous battleground of the 1971 Indo-Pak War, featuring museums, bunkers, and documentary showcases.
  • Kuldhara – The Abandoned Village

 

Afternoon: Check in to the Desert Camp at Sam Sand Dunes.
