Today our vehicle will pick you early in the morning and take you towards Narkanda. On the way enjoy the views while you travel through Kufri, Fagu and Theog. Overnight stay at Camps/Hotel.

Narkanda to Kalpa - Epic Himalayan Road Trip through Kinnaur

On the second day of this Spiti Valley tour, we start our epic Himalayan road trip today and start driving to Sangla. We will drive along the Sutlej river, cross the town of Rampur Bushahr, and enter Kinnaur through the popular ‘Gate of Kinnaur’. We later arrive in Kalpa. We can head to the famous Suicide Point on the way to Roghi and later explore the Kalpa monastery and town. We watch the sunset with a hot cup of tea from our hotel. The sunset from Kalpa against the Kinner Kailash mountains is a sight not to be missed. Kalpa is located in the cradle of the Kinner Kailash range, and on a clear day, one can spot the Kinner Kailash shivling from Kalpa as well. Overnight at a hotel in Kalpa.

Kalpa → Tabo

Kalpa to Tabo - Scenic Journey through Nako and Desert-Mountains

Today we drive towards Tabo. The landscape changes from green-mountains to desert-mountains. We continue our journey through Kinnaur and enter the Hindustan-Tibet Highway - often called the world’s most adventurous road. We drive via Puh, which is the last fuel station on this road before Kaza. After a fuel refill, we drive towards Nako, a village situated at 3600 m, passing by the Khab Sangam (confluence of Spiti and Sutlej rivers), and visit the Nako lake. We can have lunch at Nako and later visit the Gue village and see the 500 year old Mummy at the Monastery there. Finally we head to Tabo for the night.

Tabo → Kaza

Explore Tabo to Kaza - Visit Tabo Monastery, Dhankar Village & Scenic Pin Valley

We start the day with a visit to the Tabo monastery - the oldest continuously functioning monastery in India. If time permits, we can climb up the stairs in the mountain behind the monastery to see the famous meditation caves of Tabo. We then head to Dhankar. Perched high above the confluence of the Spiti and Pin rivers, in a hidden bowl, is the tiny hamlet of Dhankar. We will visit the old monastery here (if open). The view of the valley from the village is not to be missed. We then head to Pin Valley National Park. Imagine a national park with an abundance of animals and birds, with some rare plant varieties, a river that gushes when it isn’t frozen and trekking opportunities for the adventure-seekers. The Pin Valley promises all this and more. We make our way to Kaza by late afternoon and check-in to our hotel. Overnight at a hotel in Kaza.

Morning: Begin your day in Kaza after a hearty breakfast.
En route to Langza: Drive approximately 15 km to Langza, a journey taking about 30 minutes.
Langza Village: Explore the picturesque village, famous for its ancient monastery and the chance to find fossils.
En route to Hikkim: Continue your journey to Hikkim, a short drive of about 10 km, taking roughly 20 minutes.
Hikkim Village: Visit the world's highest post office and send a postcard to a loved one.
En route to Komik: Proceed to Komik, another 10 km drive, approximately 20 minutes.
Komik Village: Discover Komik, one of the highest motorable villages in the world, and visit the vibrant Komik Monastery.
Return to Kaza: Begin your scenic drive back to Kaza, a journey of about 25 km, taking around 40 minutes.
Evening: Arrive back in Kaza, reflecting on the incredible sights and experiences of the day.

Kaza → Chandar Tal

Kaza to Chandrata - Explore Ki Monastery, Kibber & Chicham Bridge

Begin your day in Kaza. After a hearty breakfast, check out from your hotel. Ensure you have completed any remaining Kaza sightseeing before departing.

Your route will take you towards Chandrata, with a significant portion of the journey focused on exploring the immediate surroundings of Kaza before heading towards the final destination.

En route, visit the following attractions:

Ki Monastery: Perched atop a hill, this ancient monastery is a vital spiritual center and offers panoramic views of the valley.
Kibber Village: Once the highest motorable village in the world, Kibber is known for its traditional Spitian architecture and unique culture.
Chicham Bridge: Suspended between two cliffs at an astonishing height, this is one of Asia's highest suspension bridges, offering thrilling views and a remarkable feat of engineering.

The distance from Kaza to Chandrata is approximately 100 km, and the drive will take around 3-4 hours, depending on road conditions and the time spent at each stop. The journey itself is a spectacle, winding through dramatic landscapes.

Upon arrival in Chandrata, check into your accommodation. The rest of the day is yours to relax and absorb the serene beauty of this high-altitude region. You can take a leisurely walk around the campsite or simply enjoy the tranquility of the surroundings.

Losar → kullu

Losar to Kullu - Scenic Drive via Kunzum Pass, Chandratal Lake & Atal Tunnel

Today, we commence our journey back home and drive on the Kaza – Manali road, one of the most adventurous roads. We visit the Kunzum Mata mandir at the Kunzum Pass and then we take a last stop at another Spitian wonder – Chandratal Lake. The mystical and beautiful Lake, which translates to “Moon Lake”, located at a height of 14,000 feet. We will cross the Chacha-Chachi dhaba at Batal, and see some of the most scenic views on the route to Manali. We cross the Atal Tunnel before arriving in Manali by Late noon . drive towards kullu and further to your stay ..
