Amritsar pickup - Wagah Border and Local sightseeing

Arrive Amritsar, transfer to hotel and check in. Visit the Golden Temple and later visit the massacre of Jalian Wallan Bagh. Afternoon little free time to rest and evening around 3 PM drive to Wagah Border to see the Closing Ceremony, event starts exactly by 5.30 PM everyday. Border closing 'lowering of the flags' ceremony is a daily military practice that the security forces of India and Pakistan.This ceremony takes place every evening before sunset at the Wagah border, which as part of the Grand Trunk Road was the only road link between these two countries before the opening of the Aman Setu in Kashmir in 1999. The ceremony starts with a blustering parade by the soldiers from both the sides and ends up in the perfectly coordinated lowering of the two nations flags, it is called the beating retreat border ceremony on the international level. One infantryman (Jawan) stands at attention on each side of the gate. As the sun sets, the iron gate at the border is opened and the flags are lowered. The flags are folded and the ceremony ends with a retreat that involves a brusque handshake between soldiers from either side. Return back to Hotel and Overnight

Pickup From the Srinagar Airport to Sonamarg

Upon arrival at Srinagar Airport, you will be met by our representative for your transfer to Sonamarg. The journey from Srinagar to Sonamarg is approximately 85 km and takes about 3-4 hours.

En route, enjoy the following sights:

Dal Lake (brief stop): A glimpse of the iconic Dal Lake, known for its houseboats and floating gardens.

As you are proceeding directly to Sonamarg, all sightseeing in Srinagar should be completed prior to your departure from the airport. Upon reaching Sonamarg, check into your hotel. The remainder of the day is at your leisure to explore the "Meadow of Gold" at your own pace. You can take a leisurely walk to admire the stunning natural beauty or simply relax and acclimatize to the serene mountain environment.

Move towards Gulmarg from Sonamarg

Upon arrival in Gulmarg, check into your hotel and settle in. The rest of your day is dedicated to exploring the “Meadow of Flowers.”

Gulmarg Golf Course: Admire the stunning setting of the world's highest golf course, even if you're not playing.

Today, you will travel from Gulmarg to Pahalgam. This scenic drive covers approximately 140 km and is expected to take around 4 to 5 hours, depending on road conditions and stops.

Avantipur Ruins: Explore the ancient ruins of a 12th-century temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu, offering a glimpse into Kashmir's historical past.

Upon arrival in Pahalgam, you will check into your hotel. The rest of the day is dedicated to exploring the breathtaking beauty of Pahalgam.

Betaab Valley: Named after a Bollywood movie, this lush green valley is renowned for its stunning meadows and crystal-clear streams.

Taxi vehicles from Srinagar cannot go beyond Pahalgam main parking. For visiting Betaab Valley, , Aru Valley, Chandanwari travellers must hire a local Pahalgam union cab available near the taxi stand. Rates are fixed and can be checked at the bill board.

Begin your day with a final leisurely breakfast in Pahalgam. Ensure you have completed any last-minute souvenir shopping or a brief stroll by the Lidder River. Check out from your hotel in Pahalgam.

Embark on your journey back to Srinagar. The distance between Pahalgam and Srinagar is approximately 90 km, and the drive typically takes around 2.5 to 3 hours.

As you travel towards Srinagar, enjoy the picturesque landscapes. While there are no major designated sightseeing stops directly en route that require a significant detour, the drive itself offers beautiful views of the Kashmiri countryside.
