• Golf Course (Seasonal): Asia’s highest green golf course — open from April to November.
• Snow Activities: Skiing, sledging, and snow scooter rides (charges extra, available in winter months).

Important Travel Information (Must Read):

• Local Taxi Union Restrictions: Private tourist vehicles from Srinagar are not allowed beyond Tangmarg during winter or heavy snowfall. Travellers must hire a local Gulmarg union chained tyred vehicle from Tangmarg to reach Gulmarg town and sightseeing points. ₹1,800–₹3,000 per vehicle (round trip), depending on weather and distance covered.
• Gandola Parking: Vehicle will be parked at the parking spot and from there we would need to walk around one KM to reach the base point. However vendors would confuse you and incorrectly inform you about the long walk.

After sightseeing and leisure time in Gulmarg, drive back to Srinagar in the evening and return to your hotel or houseboat.

Note: All activities in Gulmarg are subject to weather and local union regulations. Gondola tickets are non-refundable once booked. Warm clothing and sturdy footwear are essential even in summer months.

Upon arrival in Katra, check into your hotel. The rest of the day is dedicated to your spiritual journey. You can begin your preparations for the trek to the Vaishno Devi shrine, which is the primary reason for visiting Katra.

• Vaishno Devi Temple: The main attraction, a sacred Hindu temple dedicated to Goddess Vaishno Devi. The trek to the shrine is a significant spiritual experience.
• Ardhkuwari Cave: A significant stopping point on the pilgrimage route, believed to be where Goddess Vaishno Devi meditated.
• Bhairon Temple: Located further up from the main shrine, it is considered the final step of the pilgrimage.

You can choose to start your pilgrimage trek in the late afternoon or evening, or prepare for an early morning start the following day.

Your day begins early in Katra, the base camp for this spiritual trek. After a quick breakfast, prepare for the ascent to the holy cave.

The trek to the shrine is approximately 13 kilometers and is a significant part of the pilgrimage experience. You can choose to walk, hire a pony, or use the helicopter service (if pre-booked and available) for parts of the journey.

En route to the Shrine:

• Banganga: A holy stream where pilgrims take a purifying dip before proceeding.
• Adkuwari: A cave believed to be the meditation spot of Mata Vaishno Devi.
